This is just my little personal 'project'. One fine day I'd like to see them ALL (sweet dreams).

"The Golden Arena awards were established in 1955 as the Yugoslav national film awards presented annually at the Pula Film Festival in Pula, Croatia, with the Big Golden Arena for Best Film its main prize. 

From 1955 to 1990 the awards were the Yugoslav cinema equivalent of the Academy Awards. 

In 1991 the festival was cancelled due to the breakup of Yugoslavia, but then resumed in 1992 as the Croatian film awards festival (thereby excluding films and filmmakers from present-day Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Macedonia). It has been held in this format every year since, although no prizes were awarded at the 1994 edition. 

The festival's competition program usually includes screenings of all locally produced feature films made in the preceding 12 months (which is made possible due to the local film industry's relatively low output), so everyone involved in making them automatically qualifies for the Golden Arena awards. Therefore there are no Academy Award-style lists of nominees announced prior to the actual awarding ceremony. 

The awards are given by a jury of five or six members which is named before each festival edition by the festival's managing board, and it usually consists of prominent filmmakers and film critics." 

Winners are listed in chronological order (the year of win at the very bottom of each listed film). 

With my humble rates for the ones I've seen.

Ovo je lista skoro svih filmova nastalih na prostoru Jugoslavije.

U listu su uvrsteni filmovi:

1. Snimljeni do 1919;

2. Snimljeni u periodu Kraljevine SHS  od 1919 do 1941(odnosno 1945);

3. Snimljeni u periodu SFRJ od 1945 do 1992;

4. Snimljeni poslije raspada SFRJ u svim novonastalim republikama (Srbija, Hrvatska, BiH, Crna Gora, Slovenija i Makedonija);

5. Filmovi koji su još u procesu post-produkcije, snimanja ili pre-produkcije, odnosno filmovi koji se očekuju u narednom periodu...

Postoji mogućnost da nisu uvršteni svi filmovi (pogotovo Slovenski i Makedonski), ali će vremenom biti. 

U listu ne ulaze svi animirani, kratki ili TV filmovi, samo određeni.

Lista se vremenom dopunjava......

Radi bolje preglednosti neki od izgubljenih/nerestauriranih filmova su premjesteni u posebnu listu.

EX Yugoslavia (Croatia, Serbia, ...) movies I have to watch

This is a list of feature movies created by Croatian authors or movie companies since the year 1944 until December of the year 2013. During the existence of SFRY in period 1945-1991, Yugoslav cinematography wasn't strictly separated by the state republics, therefore it was possible that authors and actors from one republic made movies for movie companies from other republics. Per example, leading actors for Croatian movie "Breza" were from Serbia (Velimir Bata Živojinović) and Slovenia (Manca Košir). One of most famous Serbian story of Serbian hero Banović Strahinja was put to the screen by Croatian movie company and Croatian director. There are many similar examples. Therefore, it's sometimes unclear at the first sight which movie was part of which national cinematography. This list has no intention to rate movies. It's simply a brief overview and reminder of Croatian movies created during last 70 years.
