People’s got the exclusive premiere of the Dirty Heads’ video for their song “Vacation” — and it just may leave Saved by the Bell fans asking, “Hey hey hey What is going on here?”
The track, the first single of the California reggae band’s upcoming album, is a joyous celebration of life, with the band singing “I’m on vacation / every single day / ’cause I love my occupation.”
To help sell the message, they turned to America’s favorite principal Mr. Belding — a.k.a. Dennis Haskins, the 66-year-old actor who famously played the uptight yet lovable Bayside High...

Early last month, Fall Out Boy caused a frenzy within the (very large) part of the internet that lives and breathes 2000s nostalgia when they resurrected a 16-year-old 'N Sync video. Fob treated the video for "Irresistible," featuring Demi Lovato, as an update to 2000's meme-bait "It's Gonna Be Me," going as far as working with original director Wayne Isham on a spiritual successor that gives voice to all of the other toys not nearly as beloved by tween girls. (Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick even cameo!) It's peak Fall Out Boy, and just the latest entry in the band's decadelong history of doing the unexpected and having a helluva time. Before Fall Out Boy hit the stage Friday night in San Francisco for a livestreamed performance ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl, Vulture caught up with Pete Wentz about the band's insane 'N Sync sequel, how his band has managed...

Because Fall Out Boy is the best band ever (this is a fact; please don't try to debate this), they've made a sequel to 'N Sync's 16-year-old "It's Gonna Be Me" music video. They even went so far as to hire Wayne Isham, the guy who directed the original, just to get everything extra "It's Gonna Be Me"–y. Because this is nostalgia porn at its finest, you might just say, "Okay, cool," and watch, but also, you might wonder: 1. Did Fall Out Boy use Poe Dameron to find the last two surviving members of 'N Sync? 2. Was Lance Bass that busy? 3. Are these the original 'N Sync dolls that Chris Kirkpatrick had hidden in his basement somewhere, or are they replicas?4. Is Demi Lovato related to Kim Smith, the model who made the 'N Sync dolls come alive in "It's Gonna Be Me"? Is she from a long...

Here is the music video for Nickelback's rising rock single "Edge of a Revolution." And you may ask yourself: why weren't there smoke machines in your classrooms growing up? The Wayne Isham-helmed clip features video footage from cultural and political protests like Egypt's Arab Spring and the Occupy movement, along with the four members of the Canadian band performing in a school. Though, kids at home, please don't toss your desks, generally speaking. "Edge of a Revolution" is safe for work to watch, but don't listen to it loudly in your office, for reasons including the double use of the naughty-word "sh*t." The song will be featured on the group's next album offering, due sometime this fall. Their last effort was 2011's "Here and Now." Get your pointy fingers ready.

Jon Bon Jovi turned 50 today, and to celebrate, here are 13 fun facts worth remembering:
1. Jon Bon Jovi was nominated for an Oscar for penning “Blaze of Glory” for Young Guns II. As Young Guns II writer John Fusco told EW on the movie’s 20th anniversary, he used Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” as “mood music” while writing the first Young Guns because it captured the contemporary rock & roll cowboy feel he was going for in his telling of the Billy the Kid story. Fusco told star Emilio Estevez that on a research road trip, and Estevez asked...

As far as I’m concerned it’s still 1999. That’s the year the greatest song in pop music made its debut. In April of that year, my boos, the Backstreet Boys, dropped their first single off their Y2k-themed Millennium. The track, “I Want It That Way,” changed the scope of pop music at the time, which had favored cheese over substance. It was deeper, more meaningful and definitely impactful.
The chart-topping, Grammy-nominated tune landed at #10 on the MTV/Rolling Stone magazine-curated list of "100 Greatest Pop Songs Of All Time.” Written and produced by pop demi-god Max Martin (along with fellow Swede Andreas Carlsson and Kristian Lundin), the song quickly became a “Trl” and Top 40 radio staple.
The video itself was a more mature look at the five guys in the band. The Wayne Isham-directed clip was actually pretty simple, given the complex heartache of the track. The...

The Music Room (Criterion) Satyajit Ray’s 1958 masterpiece looks at the life of a fallen aristocrat as a metaphor for an India that is not only becoming Westernized, but modernized technologically and culturally beyond recognition. Stunningly shot in black & white, one of Ray’s finest works. David Guetta has never failed at delivering scorching summer dance tunes, and his Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj-assisted new single “Where Them Girls At” is no exception to that rule. In the visual for the buzzing track, which dropped Monday night, Guetta adds a twist to his typical video fashion. Instead of simply recruiting the song’s featured guests and a string of hot nobodies, the French DJ/producer takes things up a notch by creating mysterious life-size bubbles that force city strollers to perform some rather convulsive dances.

Michael Jackson's "Hollywood Tonight" music video has made its official debut. It follows a young woman stepping her feet in Hollywood in hope to become a professional dancer. "Her story represents the struggle for every artist or musician struggling to make it in the world," so Sony Music explains about the video.
The music video was filmed last month on the sidewalk of the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood and reportedly shot back to back with a video for another Mj posthumous song. Sofia Boutella plays the young aspiring dancer, and Wayne Isham serves as director of the video.
"Hollywood Tonight" was co-produced by Teddy Riley. The single is taken from the late King of Pop's first official posthumous album "Michael" which has been on sale since December last year.

Nadine Coyle's music video in support of her debut solo debut single "Insatiable" has made its round. It is mostly filled with live performance footage of the Girls Aloud member rocking with a full band and singing the song in various close-up shots.
The music video is directed by Wayne Isham who has previously worked with Britney Spears, Muse and Pink Floyd. Last month, Coyle and Isham were forced to "go back and re edit" the clip when the original finished product was deemed too sexy for TV.
Although failing "a test for TV," the saucy edit will still be made available for fans' viewing pleasure via viral release "shortly." While the tame version features Coyle with fake rain pouring on her, the saucy one apparently will have her soaking and dripping wet in real water.

Ne-Yo has a crush on a woman in a music video for his latest single "One in a Million". Although the lady has repeatedly turned him down, he doesn't give up too easily. Busting some moves with his boys, he finally gets attention from the girl only before she turns on her heels as he is joined by three hot females.
Directed by SkeetScorsese / Wayne Isham, the music video features Ne-Yo as a man with superpower. Columbus Short, John Silver, Cliff McGhee and Galen Hooks play supporting roles in it. The clip ends with a cliffhanger in which his love interest yells at him, "What the hell's wrong with you?"
"One in a Million" music video is one of Ne-Yo's efforts to visualize "Libra Scale", his concept album which explores story behind money, fame, power and love. He has previously premiered two mini movies in support of "Beautiful Monster" and...

Avenged Sevenfold are currently celebrating their first trip to the top of the Billboard album chart, as their fifth album Nightmare knocked Eminem's seemingly-untouchable Recovery from its perch in the pole position. It's something of a bittersweet celebration for the band, as they are experiencing this particular victory without drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, who passed away in December of last year.
But the band feels good about the success of Nightmare, as the album is meant to be a tribute to Sullivan. "We wanted to carry on his legacy," bassist Johnny Christ told MTV News on Wednesday (August 4).
The video for the title track is also a tribute, as it pays homage to Sullivan in a number of different ways.
"The video itself is a tribute," Christ said. "The director, Wayne Isham, has become a very close friend, and he came to us with the idea to do a 'Jacob's Ladder' theme.

The amazingly well-received title track from Avenged Sevenfold's soon-to-arrive fifth studio album Nightmare now has a suitably creepy new video, which you can watch right here. Chock full of nasty medical gear, hairy spiders, skeletons, menacing red-eyed surgeons and a definite Jacob's Ladder vibe, the film made its premiere on MTV2 Saturday in a slightly censored format. But we've got the bloodier uncut version on the flipside... so check in and check it out! This chilling clip was helmed by veteran director Wayne Isham, whose massive list of rock & metal credits includes promos for Metallica, Pink Floyd, Styx, Motley Crüe, Pantera, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Muse and Def Leppard. Following a previously-released teaser, Ne-Yo fully unveils two music videos for his singles "Beautiful Monster" and "Champagne Life". Making their way out on Bet, both of the clips were filmed back to back and are directed by Wayne Isham with the scripts written by Ne-Yo himself.
In the first video which co-stars Columbus Short, John Silver, Cliff McGhee and Galen Hooks, Ne-Yo is facing off a "Beautiful Monster" to save the world. "[It] is one piece of a very long and intricate story," he said. "When you see the first video, make sure that you're paying attention because all of the videos tell a story. So pay attention - you don't want to miss nothing."
It is then revealed in the "Champagne Life" video that Ne-Yo and the female villain have history together. He was romantically linked to her before she was turned into Diamond Eye, a "crazy, psycho mass-murderer."

Ne-Yo recently filmed two music videos, one for single "Beautiful Monster" and the other for another track "Champagne Life". Before both of them are premiered later this month, the 30-year-old singer/songwriter takes fans behind the scenes of the video shoot.
Ne-Yo writes the script, Wayne Isham sits behind the lens, and Columbus Short is tapped as a cameo. The videos were shot back to back and serve as a continuation of each other. Though so, the stories of those clips are quite different. Ne-Yo does some fighting scenes in "Beautiful Monster", and goes partying in "Champagne Life".
Both songs are expected to make the cut in Ne-Yo's upcoming fourth studio project "Libra Scale" which is eyed to hit the market in September.

The "Resistance" music video take Muse's fans to one of the band's concerts during their 2009 tour. Directed by Wayne Isham, it documents the time concertgoers were lining up to get tickets and be the first to get inside the concert venue. Then, it rolls the footage of the band's live performance.
"Resistance" comes from Muse's latest studio installment of the same title, "The Resistance" which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 200. A traveling show in support of the album has been launched across the globe since 2009 and is yet to be wrapped.
On January 15, they will be rocking Big Day Out in New Zealand and performing in five other Big Day Outs in Australia. After singing in Singapore and Hongkong, this band will return to U.S. for a number of shows. Complete details about Muse's forthcoming gigs can be obtained on their official site.

If you haven't seen the Brit rockers live, this just-released clip is the next best thing.
By James Montgomery
Muse's Matthew Bellamy in their video for "The Resistance"
Photo: Warner Bros.
There are only three dudes in Muse. That's important to note, because they sound positively massive — both live and on record — like Bang Camaro on steroids or the Polyphonic Spree if Tim DeLaughter armed everyone with a guitar. The noise they summon, these three, mild-mannered Brits, is almost otherworldly.
And to that end, I've always maintained that the best way to see Muse is live, on the biggest stage possible, with the hugest amps and the brightest lights available. For years, we here in the States weren't afforded that opportunity (though the band's live album Haarp — named after a top-secret ionospheric research project, naturally — is a pretty good primer), but lately, thanks to the success of 2006's Black Holes and Revelations album,...

Britney Spears in her video for "Piece Of Me"

Britney Spears might not have been at her personal peak when she released Blackout in 2007, but she also wasn't afraid to show the world that she was in on the joke.
On her single "Piece of Me," Britney sings about how every move she makes is reported by the media. And what better place to film a video for the song than in a nightclub with reporters and paparazzi trying to capture Brit's every move?
"On 'Piece of Me,' I really just wanted to put the mirror back onto the whole experience," director Wayne Isham told MTV News about the video's concept, which finds Britney flirting with boys and dancing around the club.

Gilded clip reflects band's new status as pop royalty.
By James Montgomery
OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder in the "All The Right Moves" video
Photo: Interscope
There is a gilded feel to OneRepublic's "All the Right Moves" video, and it makes sense the band would go that way.
After all, the song could almost be described as electro-charged chamber music, with its pealing organ and trilling strings and Ryan Tedder's gold-leaf falsetto (so that explains the masked ballroom dancers). And there's no denying the fact that OneRepublic have entered the triumphant, downright baroque portion of their career: their upcoming Waking Up album (due November 17) follows the success of 2007's Dreaming Out Loud, which turned the band into pop royalty, so the trappings and formalities of the clip can be understood, too.
Still, what the video is actually most reminiscent of is one of Panic! at the Disco videos — with all its shimmery ephemera,...

After winning Best Female Video for her comeback single "Piece of Me", Britney Spears has once again nodded to another prize in Video of the Year category for the same song.
