With polls showing the 2024 presidential election tightening as it entered the final two weeks of campaigning, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are looking for votes everywhere. But as The Daily Show reported in a segment this week, one underserved potential voting block may be spoken for after Insane Clown Posse‘s frontman Violent J seemingly endorsed the VP while being interviewed for a parody segment.
Violent J, whose real name is Joseph Frank Bruce, is perhaps the most influential figure in the community of Juggalos — the loosely associated fans of rap-rock group Icp and the other bands on their record label, Psychopathic Records, and acts in the horrorcore genre. Largely Midwestern and rural, Juggalos have developed their own set of traditions and modes of expression, including face painting, drinking the affordable soft drink Faygo and a tongue-in-cheek obsession with murder.

In what surely comes as a heartbreaking disappointment to Donald Trump, Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J has endorsed Kamala Harris for president.
Speaking with comedian Troy Iwata for a recent segment on The Daily Show, Violent J confirmed that Harris is his preferred pick for the White House, saying “I want her to win because she’s a Democrat, and I love my mom.”

Elsewhere in the interview, he learned how to pronounce Harris’ first name — calling it “fresh” — and weighed in on a number of hot-topic issues, like mass deportation, which he said “fuck no” to. “Now I remember why I hated Trump, that wall shit,” he said.
As for women’s rights, he believes in them (“they have the right to be the fuckin’ shit”), and as for environmental conservation, he thinks its time humans get over their superiority complex, saying,...

Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J is the subject of the latest episode of the online reality show about unconventional couples, Love Don’t Judge. The reason he’s on the show? His relationship with his new girlfriend: Sarah Russi, an OnlyFans content creator who’s 21 years his junior.
The episode explains how Violent J — who’s 51 years old — met Russi online as a fan, leading to the two to begin their controversial love affair. “I was on Instagram, flipping through — every time I’d see a hottie, I’d hit follow,” he explained in the episode. “She’s, like, one of my top two favorite hotties.” Eventually, Violent J slid in Russi’s DMs, and one thing led to another. “I just put my claim on it,” he said. “I was like, ‘Ah, this is my new real estate, I’m moving the fuck in.’”

Featuring, perhaps, the most serious discussion of first amendment rights from two grown men in clown makeup, “The United States of Insanity” dares you to laugh at the absurdity of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope’s oddly-loved Insane Clown Posse before diving headfirst into a lengthy, and occasionally heady, conversation regarding the power structures behind who is allowed to dictate musical taste and the ways in which the government attempts to act as cultural curators.

The deal for the documentary, about the rap group Insane Clown Posse and its die-hard fans — known as Juggalos — fighting back against the fans being classified as a gang organization by the FBI a decade ago, comes as the feature is readying for its world premiere at Fantastic Fest.
Directed by Directed by Tom Putnam & Brenna Sanchez (Burn), the film centers on Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, the rappers who make up “the World’s Most Hated Band,” who find themselves as unwitting warriors for the First Amendment. Insane Clown Posse will embark on one last Faygo-spraying tour together in 2022. During the annual Gathering of the Juggalos event at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio, Icp's Violent J made the announcement that the rap duo will retire from touring after next year due to ongoing concerns about his health. While Insane Clown Posse will no longer tour in the trandtional way, he adds that he and Shaggy 2 Dope will continue to perform at one-off shows along with releasing new music.
"I want to make it clear, making music is not affected in any way, shape or form by anything going on with Shaggy or myself health-wise," said Violent J The 49-year-old also explained how he came to make the decision, first learning of his heart problems after getting "winded" from taking the 40-foot walk from his house to his studio. A subsequent ultrasound then brought about the bad news.

Jerome Young, the former pro wrestler known to wrestling fans worldwide as the hardcore wrestler New Jack, has passed away. Per PWInsider, Young's wife Jennifer revealed that the former Ecw star died on Friday following a heart attack at his home in North Carolina. He was 58 years old at the time of his passing.
"With his fierce, competitive style, New Jack was well-known for pushing the limits of hardcore wrestling to their furthest extremes," a statement from WWE reads. Former To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen has joined forces with the controversial rappers known as the Insane Clown Posse to take on a common enemy, and despite how crazy 2020 has already been so far, the collaboration still seems a bit bizarre. After busting hundreds of alleged sexual predators shows like To Catch a Predator and Hansen vs. Predator, Hansen now hosts his own YouTube web show which sees him speaking with various special guests. This month, Hansen chatted with Icp's Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, and the conversation even ended with Hansen claiming that he was "proud to be a Juggalo."

The Family trailer is here and it pits Orange Is the New Black actress Taylor Schilling up against some pretty rowdy Juggalos. Though they aren't featured in the trailer, Insane Clown Posse members Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J have cameos in the movie, which should be exciting for the real-life Juggalos out there. And while it's a bummer that the two iconic rappers aren't in the trailer, it's worth watching to see Schilling take a 3 liter bottle of Faygo to the dome. Even without the Insane Clown Posse references, Family looks like a pretty strong babysitting movie in the vein of Uncle Buck with a hint of Role Models.
Family focuses on Taylor Schilling as a workaholic hedge fund executive who must watch her 12-year old niece for an extended amount of time. The socially awkward niece runs away to become a Juggalo, a super fan of the group Insane Clown Posse,...

Back in January, the controversial "horrorcore" rap group Insane Clown Posse announced a September march on Washington, to officially protest the findings from a 2011 FBI report that classified the group's hardcore fans, known as Juggalos, as a "gang." Yesterday, the The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit threw out a 2014 lawsuit filed by Icp members Joseph "Violent J" Bruce and Joseph "Shaggy 2 Dope" Utler, which claimed the FBI report violated their constitutional rights. However, the appeals court ruled that the FBI's decision to label the Juggalos as a gang wasn't a "final agency action," meaning it was never part of an official law, and therefore could not be contested in court.
Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope claimed in their lawsuit that the distinction of the Juggalos as a gang caused one venue to cancel one of their live concerts, at the behest of law enforcement. They were...

Six days ago, the historic Women's March on Washington took place in the nation's capitol. Millions of women marched in numerous cities around the country, just one day after the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump. Nearly a year and a half after announcing plans to sue, the Insane Clown Posse has officially filed a lawsuit against the FBI for allegedly violating their rights of free expression and association and due process. In the filing submitted today by Icp members Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, along with four other Juggalos, the group claims the FBI falsely categorized the band and its followers as a "loosely affiliated hybrid gang" in its 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment. The band is represented by the Aclu, and we would like to float the idea now that Matthew McConaughey portray their lawyer in the big-screen adaptation of the trial.

You don't diss Insane Clown Posse and get away with it -- at least that's the lesson the rappers are teaching GQ Magazine for calling 'em the worst rappers of all time ... telling TMZ, GQ's talking out of its paisley, overly-coiffed ass.In case you missed GQ's recent feature "The 25 Worst Rappers of All Time" ... Icp reigns supreme at the top of the list, earning the #1 spot -- which is pretty bad, considering the competition...

Starting July 24, the reverends Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope will be gracing the world with their insightful commentary on a new weekly half-hour TV show called Insane Clown Posse Theater. According to the folks over at Fuse, the show came about after the duo's web series of the same name became quite popular on Fuse.tv. The television version, like the web series, will feature Icp's commentary on popular music videos like Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe." But wait, there's more! The juggalo gods will also provide astute assessments of viral videos, perform ...

Attention, juggalos and juggalettes: Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope of Insane Clown Posse are getting a TV show. Fuse announced today that it's developing Insane Clown Posse Theater, a weekly half-hour show about the duo's "twisted take" on pop culture — think live-action Statler and Waldorf, but with face paint and Faygo and a really different outlook on the world. The show is based on Icp's current web series and will premiere in July. Rejoice, my ninjas!

Heads up, ninjas: Insane Clown Posse are coming to television. The hip-hop duo of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope -- who call their fans ninjas and captivated the internet with the video "Miracles" -- are getting a new show on Fuse, "Insane Clown Posse Theater." They shot in New York City on Sunday outside the People's Improv Theater, where your humble correspondent happened to be walking. (I also exchanged a friendly nod with Shaggy 2 Dope.) Icp previously had an online show at Fuse.tv. In the new series, they will weigh in...

Vice and Fuse made big gains — and Tasted cooked up strong results — in the week that ended September 12, according to our latest tally of Google-funded YouTube channels. Vice gained 3.2M views, for a total of 5.4M, helped by a video about Tardigrades — microscopic animals that were the first to survive the vacuum conditions of space. And Fuse had 1.9M more views than the previous week, for a total of 3.9M, based in part on Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope riffing on Carly Rae Jepsen’s video for her tune “Call Me Maybe”. We had trouble securing numbers for Tasted last week, and we were off the previous two weeks. But the channel came in this week at No. 44 with 323,997 views, far higher than we’ve seen since May when we started monitoring YouTube channels. For the entire chart, total views this week were -5.4% to...

At this year's Gathering of the Juggalos, the annual festival for fans of Detroit's Insane Clown Posse (you may be familiar with the infamous YouTube promotional machine), the group promised via tweet that they'd be making "the biggest announcement of our career." That announcement, made on Thursday to a tent holding over a thousand Juggalos and Juggalettes, was that Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope will be suing the FBI for classifying their fans — the very Juggalos and Juggalettes in attendance — as a "'loosely organized hybrid gang' in its National Gang Threat Assessment," according to Spin. "As Icp's lawyer, friend, and longtime Juggalo, Ryan Farris said, 'This is a family of love, this ain't no organized crime family.'"Many fans in attendance reacted to the announcement with cries of "family!" and tears of joy, because, along with challenging the FBI (with the help of their lawyer), Icp has set...

Horrorcore hip hop duo Insane Clown Posse has declared that they would be suing the FBI for classifying their devoted fanbase--known as "Juggalos"--as a gang in the 2011 National Gang Assessment.
Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope made the announcement at the 2012 Gathering of the Juggalos on August 9, Spin reports.
The rappers said they would go through with the lawsuit ""no matter what it costs or what it takes," eliciting cheering, cheers of "Family," and even some crying.
The "Juggalos" are best known for their elaborate, clownish make-up and annual "Gathering of the Juggalos" celebration.
The FBI maintains, however, that subsets of the Juggalos "exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity in violence," according to a 2011 report.
The FBI classifies the Juggalos as a "loosely-organized hybrid gang."
The report defines a hybrid gang as being a "non-traditional gang with multiple affiliations," and notes that most crimes committed by Juggalos "involve simple assault,...

Horror-rap duo Insane Clown Posse might not understand how magnets work, but they seem to have a firm grip on the machinations of the legal system. Or at least the concepts behind publicity-grabbing. Insane Clown Posse -- aka, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope -- announced at their annual Gathering of the Juggalos event at Cave-In-Rock, Illinois on Friday that they plan to sue the Federal Bureau of Investigation for unfairly categorizing their fan base as a criminal gang. The Insane Clown Posse is straight up pissed at the FBI, yo ... claiming the feds were Wrong for classifying their "Juggalo" superfans as a dangerous street gang ... and now the Clowns have lawyered up, hoping to sue the government. Icp believes several members of their Juggalo faithful have had their rights violated ever since the group appeared on the FBI's National Gang Threat Assessment list in 2011. The feds believe "many Juggalo subsets exhibit gang-like behavior...

Colt Cabana has one of the most unique jobs in the world: comedic pro wrestler. When he's not busy dishing out punches and bodyslams for rabid crowds, he's making them laugh with his patented brand of slapstick. And this week, he's got to perform in front of one of the most intimidating crowds in the world: the Gathering of the Juggalos, the yearly summer music festival hosted by the notorious hip hop act, the Insane Clown Posse. Thousands of fans with painted faces will be heading to the sweltering heat of Cave-In-Rock, Illinois, for five days of Faygo soda, nudity and illegal substances -- and it's Cabana's job to play the villain as a marijuana-hating police officer.
The proud Chicago native has developed a eclectic resume; he's a onetime WWE superstar who has carved out his own independent path (but he's still best buds and former roommate of current WWE...

Fire, low riders, fast food, wrestling and Faygo? It must be time for another Insane Clown Posse album. The Detroit rap duo's latest album "The Mighty Death Pop" arrives in stores in August, and it sounds as inescapable as the apocalypse. Violent J. and Shaggy 2 Dope announced the album with a typically bombastic infomercial featuring all of your favorite things. But, unless you're a hardcore Juggalo (or a "Saturday Night Live" writer), good luck sitting through the whole 18 minutes. Emulating the sort of fear-mongering faux news of a number of cable programs, the video's opening sets the scene. A sinister voice...

Here are a few things we learned this week on the web: If you dress your kid in cute moccasins and your last name is Kardashian, you can offer “advice” to moms on the Internet; the guys of Insane Clown Posse are good sports, except when it comes to a dude kissing them; and Saturday Night Live‘s Christine Nangle wants to have your baby.
Aim High | This is a particularly bad day for Nick. He’s on the run from a Russian mercenary and the Mob, and his whole high school despises him because he spoiled the senior prank.

Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, a.k.a, rap-metal duo Insane Clown Posse, are the latest guests to get up close and personal with "Saturday Night Live" writer Mike O'Brien on "7 Minutes In Heaven."
They cover it all in the interview -- lyrics, calorie counting, parenting -- so you're sure to get a well-rounded view of the dudes behind that crazy juggalo makeup. And as always, O'Brien tries to finish things off with a casual makeout sesh.
We won't spoil it for you and tell you how that works out, though.

There's awkward, and then there's "Insane Clown Posse on Seven Minutes in Heaven awkward." The duo stopped by Mike O'Brien's interview-in-a-closet series recently and boy oh boy was it a trainwreck. The guys respond pretty seriously to a bunch of O'Brien's rapid-fire, jokey questions — why yes, they are overprotective fathers and they're not that insane — and then make a bit in which Violent J is a parent complaining about Insane Clown Posse lyrics less humorous than it is uncomfortably believable. Oh, and the attempted kiss at the end? Yeesh. On top of it being a little homophobic, the situation is also tenser than every single moment on "Between Two Ferns" combined. All Icp awkwardness aside, though, Mike O'Brien is pretty funny, so you all should probably hurry up and log onto Internet.com if you want him [...]...

In an annual report on gang trends known as the National Gang Threat Assessment, the FBI has stated that the Insane Clown Posse fans known as juggalos — or juggalettes, if you have a uterus and really, really love to drink Faygo — pose a threat to national security by engaging in "gang-like criminal activity, such as felony assaults, thefts, robberies, and drug sales." The fans of the Detroit rap group are notorious for wearing clown face paint, as well as for the annual Gathering of the Juggalos convention, which, for the uninitiated, is like Woodstock with wet T-shirt contests and wrestling in lamb's blood. Although Juggalos have been accused of criminal behavior in the past, with police departments in Utah, California, and New Mexico classifying them as gangs, most Juggalos deny any connection to gang activity, and Icp members Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope have spoken out [...]...

Icp team up with former White Stripes frontman to cover a Mozart canon — much to the consternation of White's fans.

It was the biggest (and decidedly Wtf-est) news to hit in the post-"Beyoncé is preggers!" era: Jack White, revered retroist, songwriter and producer, had teamed up with the Insane Clown Posse, best known for wearing face paint and spraying Faygo everywhere, to cover a lesser-known Mozart canon, the title of which, literally, translates to "Lick me in the arse."
Yeah. In fact, the collaboration seemed so odd that most thought it was nothing more than an elaborate hoax. Only it wasn't — and the proof exists on White's Third Man Records' website, where the full version of "Lech Mich Im Arsch" can be heard in all its, uh, glory. And if this whole thing leaves you feeling a bit puzzled, well,...
