Oscar-nominated Irish actor Colin Farrell will be honored with the Zurich Film Festival’s Golden Icon Award at its upcoming edition, running from September 25 to October 5.

The award acknowledges the actor’s performance in Edward Berger’s psychological thriller Ballad Of A Small Player as well as his overall career.

Farrell will be presented with the award on September 27 ahead of a gala premiere for the upcoming film, which will also be attended by Swiss director and Oscar winner Berger. The following day Farrell will give a masterclass on his career.

Production company Lyrical Media is launching Lyrical Games a new, privately funded game publisher with its first three titles in production.

Blake Rochkind, former Head of Business Development at Take-Two’s Private Division, will oversee Lyrical Games, which says it aims to support imaginative and high-caliber games that live between the extremes of smaller indies and large productions. Rochkind was previously a Video Game Agent at United Talent Agency.

He is joined by Roger Kurtz, former Head of Production at Private Division and a team of games publishing veterans from Devolver Digital, Humble Games, Microsoft and more.

Nicole Kidman is allegedly caught between the ugly split between her longtime friends Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness. According to a source, Furness is unhappy with the Babygirl star for embracing Jackman’s relationship with Sutton Foster.

The source told Globe that Kidman, who co-starred with Jackman in the 2008 film Australia, “didn’t immediately jump on board with this” (via Globe). The source shared that she was “very sad Hugh and Deb couldn’t work it out.” She had previously stated that Jackman and Furness had helped her through her divorce from Tom Cruise.

Broadway producers are planning to advocate for an extension of a state tax credit program that ran out of money, with some planned tweaks, including a repayment plan for successful shows.

The Broadway League, a trade association of producers and general managers, will soon be advocating for a three-year extension of the NYC Musical and Theatrical Production Tax Credit that maintains the funding level of $100 million per year. One key change this time will be asking shows that end up being financially successful to give back a portion of the credit.
