On Monday, Amazon and Dick Clark Productions announced a three-year pact for the awards show through the 63rd annual ceremony in 2028.

The announcement, which came ahead of Amazon’s upfront presentation on Monday, follows the successful partnership between the Academy of Country Music and Amazon on the 60th annual ACM Awards earlier this month.

That ceremony, which streamed live on May 8 from Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas, was streamed live for an international audience across 240+ countries and territories exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. Following Amazon Prime Video’s recent livestream of the 60th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, the streamer has announced a multi-year deal to continue hosting the awards through 2028.

Produced by Dick Clark Productions, the ACM Awards first moved to Amazon in 2022, becoming the first-ever major awards ceremony to run exclusively on a streamer after having previously aired on CBS for 23 years. News of the extended deal, which will take the show through its 63rd edition, came out of Amazon’s 2026 upfront presentation in New York on Monday.

The change comes two months after CEO Mike Harris took the reins of the company alongside chief creative officer Dave Cobb after previous CEO Cindy Mabe exited. In rebranding as McA, Umg Nashville is taking on the famed namesake its parent company Umg was formally known as until the ’90s.

Along with the branding change, McA announced that Katie McCartney will serve of EVP/General Manager of the company, and Tom Lascola will serve as Head of Artist and Audience Strategy through an enhanced partnership with his company The Trenches. A lineup of performances for Wednesday night’s “Opry 100: A Live Celebration” special on NBC has been revealed, with many of today’s top country superstars slated to pay tribute to the legends of previous generations, and some doing their own enduring hits as well.

One First Couple of Country will salute another First Couple when Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood team up to honor the late George Jones and Tammy Wynette on the show, which will also be available for viewing on Peacock.

While promoting her new country single “The Giver,” the 27-year-old Grammy-winning singer assured fans that she isn’t leaving pop music behind while reflecting on her longtime love of country music.
