Logan Lerman praises new Percy Jackson star
Image
It can’t be easy passing the torch–or the trident–after playing the role you’re most known for. But former Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman is handling it with grace, praising the incoming Walker Scobell.

Speaking with ComicBook.com, Logan Lerman–who played the title character in both 2010’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and 2013’s Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters–said “the kid’s really talented.” While he may be a catch, Logan Lerman did have some sage advice for being a young actor. “The only advice I can give him is just to enjoy it while you’re doing it…I think when you’re young, at least when I was younger [playing Percy Jackson], you almost forget to enjoy it as you’re a part of it. I really enjoyed it while I was doing it. Just take each second in and enjoy the newness of what...

Percy Jackson Show Star Praised By Original Movie’s Logan Lerman
Image
The original star of the Percy Jackson movies is heaping praise on the new Percy Jackson and the Olympians actor, Walker Scobell. Percy Jackson and the Olympians intends to reboot the franchise entirely to showcase how Percy becomes the powerful demigod he is. The forbidden son of Poseidon, Percy is born despite a vow between the Big Three gods — Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades — that they would have no more children, which leads to devastation for both the young Percy and the entirety of Camp Half-Blood.

While the original movies rarely receive praise due to some significant deviations from the source material, the original Percy actor, Logan Lerman, supports the reboot's casting choices. Scobell is a much younger actor than Lerman was when he took up the role, yet he seems to be thriving in the spotlight. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Lerman clarified that he thoroughly approves of Scobell's casting and finds little to critique.
