Emma Jacobs

Violet's problematic medic wasn't the one everyone expected in Chicago Fire
Image
We knew someone from Violet’s past would come up in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13. It turned out not to be the paramedic many fans expected.

Caution: This post contains Spoilers for Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13.

The synopsis told us that Violet would have someone from her past show up. This would be a problematic medic who needed her help, and Violet would need to decide whether she was willing to help or not.

Many people expected it to be Emma Jacobs, but I’ll admit that I thought that was too obvious. It was a different problem character.

Who did Violet need to help in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13?

The problem arose when Flynn shared that he had a difficult case. He had a medic who was being charged with medical negligence. Due to the medic’s actions, a patient died. This is something that a lot of paramedics will fear will happen,...

Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 13 Review: Another Old Enemy Returns
Image
The following contains major spoilers from Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 13, "Born of Fire," which debuted Wednesday, Feb. 19 on NBC.

Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 13, "Born of Fire" is a reminder of just how long the NBC show has been on. Its main storyline goes back to a plot idea that the writers have used several times before. One of the subplots follows the natural progression of the best TV relationships. And a bunch of references are made to past characters and events. All of it makes viewers acutely aware that this series has been full steam ahead for almost a decade and a half.

"Born of Fire" is a Violet Mikami-centric episode, because the central story is about her facing down a character she never wanted to see again. But the secondary plotline involves her, too, and her relationship or lack thereof with Sam Carver. Elsewhere, Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide...

Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13 recap and review: "Born of Fire"
Image
Violet had to help someone she never thought she’d see again in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13. Meanwhile, Carver faced some of his demons.

Caution: This post contains Spoilers for Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13.

We picked up off the back of the previous episode as Carver went to the AA meeting. There he shares that he’s 22 days sober, which may not sound like a lot, but it’s the most he’s gone without a drink since he was 14.

Meanwhile, Violet’s boyfriend has a case that she could help on, but it brings someone from her past back. Oh, and Stellaride found out everyone’s nickname for them.

Cruz understands the assignment in Chicago Fire

The episode opens with Severide and the rest of Squad 3 being called out to an activity center. There’s been an accident that involves a woman hanging from a rope. While it turns...

Chicago Fire brought back Violet's nemesis (but not the one we expected)
Image
Chicago Fire's latest episode was a Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) showcase. The character got to develop her relationship with her lawyer boyfriend, and bolster her friendship with Novak (Jocelyn Hudon), but the most interesting aspect of "Born of Fire" was the return of a former foe.

We knew a character from Violet's past would be returning due to the synopsis, but the wording and framing of the character led us to believe that it would be Emma Jacobs (Caitlin Carver). After all, the character had already returned to Chicago Fire once before, and seemed to have the most intense personal history with Violet.

We were wrong. Chicago Fire writers cleverly pivoted away from Jacobs and went with a character who we largely forgot about: Jared Lennox (Wesam Keesh). The character was introduced in season 12, two seasons after Jacobs stirred up trouble at 51.

Jared Lennox was charged with negligent homicide...

Violet's enemy from the past shows up in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13 (Preview)
Image
Someone from Violet’s past is about to show up in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13. Do we know who it is?

There’s a new episode of Chicago Fire tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 19. This is set to be big for Violet, as she has an enemy from the past showing up. There is only one enemy that comes to mind for me, and I think we all know who it is.

Who is the enemy from Violet’s past in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13?

The episode synopsis just tells us an enemy from the past. The biggest enemy was Emma Jacobs. She wanted a permanent spot at Firehouse 51 when Brett was still there, and she found out that Violet and Evans were dating. This led to Emma opting to blackmail them into what she wanted, until she proved that she was useless as a paramedic when it came to the type of calls Firehouse 51 deals with.

Chicago Fire boss offers a Violet and Carver update (and teases the future)
Image
We're more than halfway through season 13 of Chicago Fire, but with so much more story still coming our way this spring, fans continue to wonder what's going on with Sam Carver and Violet Mikami. And even though we don't have specific details (no spoilers here), there is some tea!

Showrunner Andrea Newman recently spoke with TVLine, and passed along some clues for fans about we can expect from Carver and Violet's stories in upcoming episodes. We love that she confirmed our suspicions without giving too much away -- but they'll definitely be sharing scenes together. "There’s a lot of drama coming up with the two of them,” Newman confirmed.

She went on to reveal that yes, we can absolutely count on Violet and Carver having a lot going on between the two of them as we get further into the season. “There’s a lot of repercussions that still...

Chicago Fire, Med and Pd return to NBC’s lineup this week following latest break
Image
While February has historically been a month in which the One Chicago shows take longer breaks and often only air an episode or two across the full month, that trend will change this year. The One Chicago shows might have taken the second week of February off, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago Pd will officially be returning to NBC’s primetime lineup this week with a new batch of episodes coming our way on Feb. 19!

This week will welcome a night of new One Chicago originals that fans will not want to miss beginning with a brand new episode of Chicago Med. The episode will see Lenox being tested in a new way as her mentorship skills are challenged, while Hannah will look to help a religious woman with an ectopic pregnancy. Then we have Ripley who is continuing his spiral with his self-destructive behavior in the wake of...

Chicago Fire cast: What happened to Emma Jacobs?
David Eigenberg, Hanako Greensmith, Taylor Kinney, Joe Minoso, Miranda Rae Mayo, and Jocelyn Hudon in Chicago Fire (2012)
Chicago Fire fans could soon see Emma Jacobs on the show again.

It has been teased that a “nemesis” returns to Chicago Fire, this time seeking the help of Paramedic in Charge Violet Mikami.

It would be a surprising addition to the Chicago Fire Season 13 cast if actress Caitlin Carver walked into Firehouse 51 again.

Carver first appeared as Paramedic Emma Jacobs on Chicago Fire Season 10, Episode 17 (Keep You Safe).

Emma was temporarily assigned to Ambulance 61 when Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) was on furlough.

But Emma wanted to be more than a fill-in, leading to much drama between her and partner Violet.

What happened to Emma Jacobs on Chicago Fire?

Emma wanted a permanent spot at Firehouse 51 and began that quest by undercutting Violet on a call.

Later, Emma blackmailed Violet and Paramedic Chief Evan Hawkins. Violet and Evan were in a relationship, and Emma pushed a narrative that compromised them.

Chicago Fire isn’t new tonight but we’ve got a big episode coming up next week)
Image
One Chicago Wednesday has arrived, but sadly there are no new episodes of the One Chicago dramas airing tonight on NBC. Yes, we’re sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Chicago Fire and the One Chicago shows are in reruns for the evening with NBC scheduling a quick break in the lineup before the show’s return with new episodes on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Tonight, fans can expect a rerun of the fourth episode of season 13, “Through the Skin,” which was a particularly large episode for Violet. The episode saw Violet putting her job on the line to deliver a baby during a tragic call, one that nearly cost her her paramedic license. The episode also had a fun storyline for Cruz and the guys as they tried to track down the person responsible for stealing Javi’s bike.

It’s a great episode if you’re looking...

Chicago Fire spoilers: Is Caitlin Carver returning for new episode?
David Eigenberg, Hanako Greensmith, Taylor Kinney, Joe Minoso, Miranda Rae Mayo, and Jocelyn Hudon in Chicago Fire (2012)
Chicago Fire spoilers hint at the possible return of actress Caitlin Carver.

Caitlin played Paramedic Emma Jacobs, the former partner of Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith).

Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) was out visiting Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) in Portland, necessitating a fill-in partner for Violet.

Enter Emma Jacobs, who was keen on taking a permanent spot at Firehouse 51. It even led her to try to get Violet fired.

Emma’s attempt to blackmail Violet and Evan Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas) backfired, and she was removed from the firehouse.

Later, Emma reappeared as someone working in the Internal Affairs Department for the Cfd. Emma threatened Violet and her firehouse again, but Violet found a recording by Evan that proved she had been blackmailing people.

We haven’t heard from Emma in a while, but it was assumed that she still lived somewhere in Chicago.

Will Emma Jacobs appear on Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode...

Chicago Fire, Med and Pd are not on NBC this week (here's when they return)
Image
One Chicago has been crushing it in 2025. The franchise has dropped numerous episodes that rank among the best of their respective seasons. Plus, it gave us the crossover event we have been asking for repeatedly for over the last six years.

The momentum was bound to slow down, though. It's not that the quality has dipped, but in true network TV fashion, scheduling has shifted, and breaks have returned to the One Chicago schedule. The franchise will Not be airing new episodes on Wednesday, February 12. Instead, NBC will be airing reruns of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago Pd from earlier in the seasons.

One Chicago Wednesday will consist of reruns Chicago P.D. -- "The Good Shepherd" Episode 12012 -- Pictured: (l-r) Toya Turner as Kiana Cook, Laroyce Hawkins as Kevin Atwater -- (Photo by: Elizabeth Sisson/NBC)

This is nothing new for the franchise. February is typically a month...

One of Chicago Fire's most hated characters may return in season 13
Image
Chicago Fire has a lot of storylines going at once. There are big things happening for Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), the same way things are happening for our favorite crossover couple, Mouch (Christian Stolte) and and Platt (Amy Morton).

While all these characters are looking to the future, however, Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) will be forced to deal with a foe from her past. The logline for Chicago Fire's next episode, "Born of Fire," confirms that the character will be getting a visit from someone she has a very checkered past with. And we think we know who it is...

"Violet’s former nemesis returns, pleading for her help," the official synopsis reads. Here's the thing.

Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 13: A nemesis returns and so does Cruz
David Eigenberg, Hanako Greensmith, Taylor Kinney, Joe Minoso, Miranda Rae Mayo, and Jocelyn Hudon in Chicago Fire (2012)
A new Chicago Fire episode features the return of Joe Cruz, but it also hints at some big drama.

Joe Cruz (Joe Minosa) has been suspended for two weeks following recent shenanigans and his cover-up of a fire during Season 1.

The One Chicago crossover was missing Cruz, as was the most recent episode, but now he returns to help with an adventure park rescue.

The One Chicago shows are off for Wednesday, February 12. NBC has scheduled repeat episodes for that night.

A break in the action is never fun, but there isn’t enough new content to air a new episode every week.

The good news is that new episodes arrive on Wednesday, February 19. This will be the 13th episode of the season for Med, Fire, and P.D.

“After a daring rescue at an adventure park, Kidd asks Severide to create a ropes course...

Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 3 Review: One Character Finally Leaves
Image
The following contains major spoilers from Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 3, "All Kinds of Crazy," which debuted Wednesday, Oct. 9 on NBC.

Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 3, "All Kinds of Crazy" is the episode where fans of the NBC show can finally relax. While there was some panic that actor Taylor Kinney was leaving again, this episode reaffirms that not only is Kinney staying, but that the series needs his character Kelly Severide. This is the hour where Severide soars -- and Jack Damon takes a good, hard fall right on his face.

"All Kinds of Crazy" deals with the Damon situation that's been percolating since the end of Season 12, and does so in a way that adds a little more depth to new Battalion Chief Dom Pascal. If only the writers could handle Pascal and Sam Carver's strange romantic subplots with the same efficiency. However, those are two of the only...

Review: Chicago Fire Season 12, Episode 10 Is Visibly Disjointed
Image
The following contains major spoilers from Chicago Fire Season 12, Episode 10, "The Wrong Guy," which debuted Wednesday, May 1 on NBC.

"The Wrong Guy" is a Chicago Fire episode in which several characters are out of place -- which seems fitting, since the entire episode comes across as disjointed and disappointing. It isn't a terrible episode, but it simply exists, with no clear purpose and no contribution to Season 12 as a whole. Calling it a filler episode is even a bit of a reach, because there's only a few bits in the hour that will stick beyond the closing credits.

There are five different plots in "The Wrong Guy," making it a busy episode despite the lack of actual momentum. Kelly Severide is filling in as acting supervisor, his wife Stella Kidd is worried about her Girls on Fire training program, Joe Cruz is startled by the return of someone from his adopted son Javi's past,...
