Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is the most overrated and overdone feud of the century. They had some of the most mediocre matches in WWE history, yet the company considers this rivalry as one of the greatest ever. This designation can be given to Stone Cold vs The Rock, John Cena vs. Edge, Cm Punk vs. John Cena, etc. However, Reigns and Lesnar do not deserve to be in that category.

In between the matches at WrestleMania 31 and Summerslam 2022, they had a very boring match catalogue filled with not so great matches. This rivalry reached peak boredom in 2018 when Vince McMahon was desperate to make Reigns the new face of the company. When Brock Lesnar won the Universal title in WrestleMania 33, everyone knew who his opponent was going to be next year.

When fans attended Tom Petty's concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, they didn't realize that they were attending his final shows. Now, videos of the artist's final performances serve as precious mementos of his talent. One fan video taken by Brian James showed Petty and the Heartbreakers playing their 1996 song "Walls". The video was taken on Sept. 21—less than two weeks before Petty's death. "This next song is a request," the singer said in the video. "We hardly ever take requests, but this one is from me." When Brian James aka The Road Dogg recently hit back at fans criticizing the WWE product, it came as a shock to see a WWE agent on the defensive and not being to be able to handle the social media feedback.

Suddenly, it’s all become clear as on a recent edition of Mlw Radio, it was noted that James is the man responsible for writing the majority of the creative for SmackDown in recent months. The show has been heavily panned by fans for months now with its lack of plot development and baffling finishes.

Halloween may be over, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t great horror and sci-fi movies arriving this Tuesday on Blu-ray and DVD. As I sit here, writing my Bloodsucking Bastards review while glancing over my shoulder towards the only entrance to my cubicle, it’s easy to understand the true horrors of this wittily hilarious vampire splatterfest. One quote in particular hits home all-too closely, when a disgruntled character realizes how perfect his “fluorescent shithole” of an office is for a corporate vamp takeover, given how few windows permit the real world’s beauty from cutting through a demoralizing darkness.

Have we not all become bloodsucking drones, clocking in countless hours of work to achieve that next (meaningless) goal just to keep the numbers crunching and dollars flowing (most of which the average worker won’t see)? The horror of Bloodsucking Bastards is not found through vampire bites, but in stinging corporate satire that seems too smart for a horror comedy – and too damn real.

A product of the Los Angeles comedy troupe, Dr. God, this satirical bloodletting starts a bit sluggish, but finishes with an inspired stream of gags and gore. This won’t be the first (or last) review to describe Bloodsucking Bastards as Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the television juggernaut, not the abysmal film) meets Office Space. And what the hell is wrong with that, punk?!? Endearingly quirky, sarcastic beyond all measure, and painfully observant, there are more clever one-liners and non-sequiturs packed into this 80 minute bundle than any other 2015 comedy...

On Friday, September 4th, Scream Factory will release the hilarious vampire-infused workplace comedy Bloodsucking Bastards, which stars Fran Kranz, Pedro Pascal, Joey Kern, Emma Fitzpatrick, Joel Murray and Yvette Yates. Directed by Brian James O’Connell, the film celebrated its world premiere earlier this year at the 2015 Slamdance Film Festival and this weekend, Bloodsucking Bastards will arrive in select cities and on VOD.

Recently, Daily Dead had the opportunity to speak with Fitzpatrick about her role in the film, collaborating with her hysterical co-stars, and getting the chance to kick some vampire ass in Bloodsucking Bastards. You can tell we’re getting close to Halloween as the month of September has a myriad of great films arriving on VOD platforms that should help get everyone in the ‘spirit’ for every horror fan’s favorite upcoming holiday. The highly anticipated horror comedy Cooties starring Rainn Wilson, Elijah Wood, Leigh Whannell and Alison Pill is finally getting released on September 18th and Scream Factory is kicking off the month with a horror comedy too, the hilarious Bloodsucking Bastards, which arrives on VOD on September 4th.

As the ‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James, the one-time Brian Armstrong carved a legacy for himself in WWE history. The man’s real name is actually Brian James, but he’s part of the well-known Armstrong wrestling family. His father, Bob wrestled with the surname, so all 4 of his sons, Brian, Brad, Steve and Scott took on the moniker also. It wasn’t until Road Dogg had been in the industry for over a decade that he got his first major run.

Making his then-wwf debut in 1994 as ‘The Roadie’, the man worked alongside Jeff Jarrett. Acting largely as a manager, he was something also allowed to show what he could do inside the ring. That said, it would be another few years before the Road Dogg character was created. That particular persona gave the wrestler more stature, and he became part of D-Generation X.

After the announcement of the Fightfest’s opening and closing films a week ago, the UK’s premiere horror festival has announced its complete line-up… And they’re not making it easy for us to bring you reviews of the majority of the films screening this year!

Yes, not only is Frightfest taking over the Vue cinema on Leicester Square again this year but they’re also taking over an extra screen, Screen 1, at the old home of Frightfest, The Prince Charles Cinema – which will be the location of Another “Discovery” screen strand.

Exclusive: La-based sales outfit brings It’s Already Tomorrow In Hong Kong and Bloodsucking Bastards to Filmart.

Roman Kopelevich’s Red Sea Media is to handle all international sales for It’s Already Tomorrow In Hong Kong and is debuting the romantic comedy to buyers this week at Filmart.

Directed and written by Emily Ting, the film stars Jamie Chung (Big Hero 6) and Bryan Greenberg (Friends With Benefits), and was produced by Ting with Sophia Shek.

Chung plays a Chinese American who visits Hong Kong for the first time and meets a Us expat (Greenberg). But as romance blossoms, time is not on their side.

The rights deal was negotiated by Kopelevich for Red Sea Media and Ari Haas of Sedgemoore Pictures on behalf of the filmmakers.

Ting said: “We shot the film in Hong Kong last summer and I couldn’t be happier to be returning ‘home’ a year later with the finished product.”

The first trailer for Bloodsucking Bastards premiered on Wednesday. The film stars Fran Kranz as a working stiff who gets passed over for a big promotion because the company hired the flashy, handsome big talker played by Game of Thrones‘ Pedro Pascal. The movie also stars Joel Murray (Mad Men), Yvette Yates (Inherent Vice) Joey Kern (Super Troopers) and Emma Fitzpatrick (The Collection).

Directed by Brian James O’Connell, the premise seems hyper absurd and looks destined for cult fame much like Franz’s other major starring role, Cabin in the Woods. Axs TV’s “Seriously. Funny. Thursdays” returns Jan. 15 with new episodes of the stand-up comedy series “Gotham Comedy Live” and a second season of the original talking-head comedy series “MOCKpocalypse,” TheWrap has learned.

“Gotham Comedy Live” is an hour-long live comedy series filmed at the famed Gotham Comedy Club in New York. Veteran comedian Sinbad will perform alongside emerging comics on “Gotham Comedy Live,” which is now in its fourth season.

One of those taking part in the show is Brian James, better known to wrestling fans as Road Dogg, one half of the New Age Outlaws tag team. Zap2it had the chance to chat with Road Dogg about catching up with old friends in the wrestling business, what to expect from the show and who he thinks is going to go far in the "Royal Rumble," among other topics.

Back in August I posted, an admittedly, off the cuff rebuke to a comment Brian James made about how the zombies in his novel, "Zombie Blondes," differed from the classic sort we all know and love. See, unlike the mindless brain eating rotters that occupy most of our favorite films and books, James' zombies are beautiful, popular, dead cheerleaders, who need blood to stay youthful. At the time, my feeling was that, by James' description, his ghoulish girls were more like vampires than zombies and that he was merely using the zombie metaphor to highlight the classic Ya fiction theme of "be yourself." Of course, not too long after the post went up I received a message from James saying that I had him all wrong and that his novel in fact gives muchas credence to the zombie mythos,...

Young adult fiction is loaded with great authors who exploit amazing scifi concepts to express the ever important teenage targeted theme of "be yourself." Scott Westerfeld and Rodrigo Corral's spectacular Uglies trilogy may come immediately to mind, but there are many others out there. The recently released Zombie Blondes, with it's Mean Girls meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers storyline, feels primed to become another classic; but is its title appropriate? In a recent interview with Scifi, author Brian James discusses the fact that his blonde zombies are very different from the zombies we all know and love, explaining that "These aren't the roving, rotten-flesh kind that only exist in the movies. These zombies are beautiful [and] popular... They use blood from the living to maintain their own appearance of being among the living." You know, I don't mind mixin' up the zombie mythology here and there but, uh, that's called a Vampire dude.
