Cameron Douglas, the head of FandangoNow, tells Variety that they...

[DVD Review] Finn on the Fly
It's rare to see a movie's tone conveyed so instantly as it is in Finn on the Fly. Not seconds after inserting the Finn into the DVD player, Baha Men's “Who Let the Dogs Out?” rang throughout my apartment like a Winterfest dance from 2001. I had to turn it down immediately. I don't need neighbors passing judgment on me, thinking I'm listening to the Baha Men's most overplayed and irritating song, or perhaps watching...well, any number of the movies that song is used in, save for The Hangover. And it was only funny in that movie because it's a goofy song. Anyway, I'd love to ask the filmmaker why he included that song. What is your defense, Mark Jean, for using that dreadfully overplayed and agonizing song in your movie? Is it because the word “dogs” is in the chorus? From what I've read, a lot of...

'Finn on the Fly' Sold to Disney Channel
E1 Entertainment, the Canadian distributor of Finn on the Fly, sold the broadcasting rights to Disney Channel through a series of deal. This means that Mark Jean's film - which targets an audience from eight to twelve years old - will be aired on Disney Channel in the USA, the UK, Spain, Portugal, Japan and other Asian countries.

The story of Finn on the Fly follows Frisbee-playing dog named Finn and his shy 13 year-old owner Ben (Matthew Knight). Both of their lives are changed when Finn is accidentally transformed into a human being (Ryan Belleville) when their neighbor Dr. Madeline Madsen's (Ana Gasteyer) science experiment goes wrong next door. While on two legs, Finn teaches Ben how to find his own pack, feel the wind in his fur and catch Frisbees like a dog. While helping Ben, Finn also helps the misfit kids on Ben's losing ultimate Frisbee team...

John Schneider at an event for Nip/Tuck (2003)
Threesome invited to Hallmark's 'Dance'
John Schneider at an event for Nip/Tuck (2003)
John Schneider, Roma Downey and Brooke Nevin have been tapped to star in "Wedding Dance," a Hallmark Channel original movie airing next year.

The telefilm, which goes into production this month in Vancouver, centers on a young bride-to-be (Nevin) who is shocked when the father (Schneider) she never knew shows up alive and holding the deed to her family's dance studio, which she is hoping to sell in order to pursue her dream of becoming a therapist. She turns to her attorney (Downey) for help.

This marks the third Hallmark Channel movie for Schneider, following 2007's "You've Got a Friend" and May's "Shark Swarm." It's the first for Nevin ("The 4400") and Downey, though the latter is a familiar face to viewers of Hallmark Channel, which airs reruns of her series "Touched by an Angel."

"Wedding Dance" will be directed by Mark Jean ("7th Heaven") from a story by Jean Abounader...
