We're back with another installment of Horror Highlights! With Cannibal Corpse Killers now on DVD, we have an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip featuring sound designer Randall Barnes. We also have release details for the new comic book series Evil Cast and info on this year's virtual edition of the Telluride Horror Show.

Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Clip from Cannibal Corpse Killers: "Los Angeles - From acclaimed horror director Joaquin Montalvan, Cannibal Corpse Killers arrives on DVD and On Demand on August 18 from Indican Pictures. The DVD will include behind-the-scenes featurettes and deleted scenes from the gruesome, heart-pounding thriller.

Cannibal Corpse Killers follows Pike and a group of survivors as they endure a long, treacherous mission to Jawbone, a hotbed for cannibals in post-apocalyptic America. Now that a deadly virus has wiped out the nation, the group must cope with the recurring memories of those who died before them and defend themselves against cannibal demons.

Synopsis

Far away from the civilized world, in the deep isolation of the lonely backwoods, Carl Henry Jessup spends his days in twisted contemplation and hazy reverie of the good old days. His contempt for outsiders keeps him close to his hillbilly family home. Carrying on the family business, Carl keeps an eye out for Grade A meat. He can spot the tastiest trespassers from fifty yards away. Fat men and pretty gals are his preference, and he insists on a healthy serving of spicy blood gravy ladled over his dinner plate.

Trailer Debut for Legend of the Hillbilly Butcher
It’s been a few months since we first brought you word on filmmaker Joaquin Montalvan’s low-budget feature Legend of the Hillbilly Butcher (article), but that changes today with our exclusive look at the flick’s trailer and a handful of production stills.

Produced by Montalvan’s Sledgehammer Films and shot in and around Los Angeles and Pasadena, California, this past spring over the course of thirty days, Montalvan describes Legend of the Hillbilly Butcher as a “retro grindhouse film,” which stars Stephen Feinberg as ‘The Storyteller,’ Chris Shumway as ‘Billy Wayne,’ Theresa Holly as ‘Rae Lynn,’ Ron Jason (Corpse Grinders 2) as ‘Papa Jessup,’ and Paul E. Respass in the lead as one ‘Carl Henry Jessup,’ the titular Hillbilly Butcher. Of the script (according to the official synopsis), it takes place “in a lonely backwoods shack, where Carl Henry Jessup spends his time drinkin' and thinkin' bout dem good ole days.
