The 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards took over the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Saturday. The annual slime-filled celebration, hosted by singer Tyla and featuring performances by Machine Gun Kelly and Katseye, included appearances by Jack Black, Auliʻi Cravalho, Benny Blanco, Terry Crews, Ice Spice, and Sza.

Rambo: Last Blood (watch the extended cut of that Here) director Adrian Grunberg‘s shark thriller The Black Demon is set to reach theatres on April 28th, and I’ve been anxious to see a trailer for this one because the only publicity stills released up to this point have only shown lead actor Josh Lucas (The Forever Purge) and his character’s family standing on dry land. Now, the moment I’ve been waiting months for has arrived. IGN got the exclusive first look at a trailer for The Black Demon, and this finally gives the sight of Lucas and other characters out on the water, dealing with a “big ass shark”! Exactly two months ago today, we heard that Rambo: Last Blood (watch the extended cut of that Here) director Adrian Grunberg‘s shark thriller The Black Demon was going to be reaching theatres on April 21st – a date that would, unfortunately, put it in direct competition with the new Evil Dead movie, Evil Dead Rise. Now we’ve learned that The Black Demon has wisely decided to give Evil Dead Rise a little space, shifting its release date back one week to April 28th. Now we just need to see a trailer for this thing.

Here’s the first one, showing star Josh Lucas (The Forever Purge) standing on dry ground. Now another image from The Black Demon has been unveiled by USA Today, and this one also shows Lucas standing on dry ground. This time he’s joined by co-stars Fernanda Urrejola (Cry Macho) and Venus Ariel (Dmz). The new image can be found at the bottom of this article.

Thankfully, our friends at Bloody Disgusting were able to dig up the information that The Black Demon has a theatrical release date of April 21, 2023. Fernanda Urrejola and Julio Cesar Cedillo will star alongside Josh Lucas in “The Black Demon.” The survival thriller is the latest film from Adrian Grünberg, the director of “Rambo: Last Blood” and “Get the Gringo.”

The film centers on an oilman who finds himself and his family stranded on a rig where he is targeted by a megalodon, a prehistoric shark.

Urrejola is best known for her work in “Narcos: Mexico,” the “Party of Five” reboot and Clint Eastwood’s most recent drama, “Cry Macho.” Cedillo played the title role in “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada” and also appeared in “All the Pretty Horses,” “Cowboys & Aliens” and “Sicario.” He recently starred in Netflix’s acclaimed film “The Harder They Fall.”

Exclusive: Sony Pictures International Productions’ original comedy Tequila Re-Pasado recently wrapped filming in Mexico and we’ve got first-look images from the film (see above and below).

Gabriela Tagliavini is directing with Sebastián Zurita (Cómo Sobrevivir Soltero) leading the cast. When it was initially announced, Tequila Re-Pasado had Omar Chaparro and María Ripoll attached, respectively, to star and direct, but scheduling conflicts resulted in a change.

Also starring are Paulina Gaitán and Ludwika Paleta (Guerra De Likes, Madre Solo Hay Dos). Rounding out the cast are Miguel Rodarte (Narcos: México), Mauricio “Diablito” Barrientos (Guerra De Likes), Aurora Papile (A La Mala), Héctor Jiménez (Nacho Libre) and Adal Ramones (Un Papá Pirata, Sr Ávila).

Leading Latin American animation studio Ánima has launched a dedicated adult-young adult division and announced that later this year it will begin production on “El Santos,” a serialized version of the company’s 2012 comic book-inspired feature “El Santos vs la Tetona Mendoza.”

The star-studded, landmark film established Ánima as not only a regional powerhouse of Mexican animation, but a leading creator of cartoon content internationally, and was the company’s first production to screen at France’s prestigious Annecy Animation Festival.

2022 will mark Ánima’s 20th anniversary. After nearly two decades of producing content almost exclusively for the kids and family market, Ánima co-founders Fernando De Fuentes Sainz, CEO, and José C. García de Letona, COO, knew the time was right to reach out to a new demographic.

“We’ve seen so much appetite from platforms and networks for content that’s animated for adults and young adults,” García de Letona explained to Variety.

HBO Max released the trailer for the upcoming comedy series “That Damn Michael Che,” which premieres on May 6.

Each installment of the “Saturday Night Live” star’s 10-episode series illustrates what it feels like to experience everyday situations from his own perspective, including racial profiling, unemployment and falling in love.

Fellow “SNL” cast members Cecily Strong, Heidi Gardner, Colin Quinn, Ellen Cleghorne and Colin Jost lend their talents to the series along with guest stars Omari Hardwick, Geoffrey Owens, Godfrey, Billy Porter and Method Man.

“Who Killed Sara?” has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix, with the new season of the drama set to premiere on May 19.

The 10-episode first season of the Spanish-language series launched March 24 on the streaming service. Per Netflix’s own daily “Top 10” list, “Who Killed Sara?” was the No. 2 title in the U.S. on Monday.

Here’s the official description for the first season of “Who Killed Sara?”: “Alex (Manolo Cardona), a man convicted of a crime he did not commit, is released after 18 years behind bars. Upon leaving, he only wants revenge on Rodolfo Lazcano (Alejandro Nones), the person responsible for the death for which he was sentenced. Things get complicated when Alex starts a sentimental relationship with Elisa (Carolina Miranda), the Lazcano’s youngest daughter, and when he discovers that Rodolfo is innocent and that someone else, who has skillfully kept in the shadows, was the true cause of his disgrace.

Omar Chaparro and Joey Morgan (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse) make for an unlikely buddy-cop duo in today’s exclusive batch of images for Enrique Begne’s action-comedy, Compadres.

Arriving by way of Pantelion Films, Begne has assembled an all-star cast for the action flick, placing Chaparro in the role of former Mexican cop, Garza. Framed for a crime he didn’t commit, Garza’s only hope of rescuing his significant other – and clearly his name in the process – is to partner with Vic, a tech whizz-kid with the hacking ability to help his new partner track down an old nemesis named Santos. Before he tracks them down, that is.

Movies can deliver a powerful message by humanizing what many consider to be the dregs of society, casting a light on what demons drive the darkness and bigotry in their heart. It’s the meaning of great art, finding humanity in the least-likely places. “Cellmates,” which is not great art, centers on former Ku Klux Klansman Leroy Lowe, an unpleasant, ornery man with decidedly unenlightened racial politics, as he attempts to stay true to his rotten self from behind bars. So far, so unpleasant.

Taking a folksy tone, “Cellmates” frames Lowe as a former political mover-and-shaker to just another undereducated grunt from within prison, defanging his racial views by downgrading them from a macro to micro level. Unfortunately, Lowe’s new roommate, Mexican day laborer Emilio, provides a challenge for this Southern fried bigot, with his ersatz accent, kinky hair and liberal views. Chicago – I’ve always rooted for Tom Sizemore. Without question, if real-life addiction hadn’t derailed his career, he would be one of our more interesting actors. Go and rent “Natural Born Killers,” “Heat,” and “Saving Private Ryan” if you think I’m wrong. I think about what Sizemore might be doing if he could work with modern masters again like the Coens, Scorsese, or Tarantino. Instead, he’s trying to revive his career with a lead role in a film that’s essentially going straight to On Demand (and opening in New York and L.A. on June 1st), the unique dramedy “Cellmates.” While there’s some notable efforts here, the final result misses its mark.

David Hasselhoff proves he's got game in a clip from Piranha 3Dd, the sequel hitting theaters and VOD on June 1st.

The Hoff plays himself in the film and is hired to make a celebrity guest appearance at the story's Big Wet water park.  Naturally, he doesn't count on vicious prehistoric piranha slaughtering the park's guests.  In the clip, it's the calm before the storm and the Hoff is chillin' with some ladies.

Dimension Films has released a new "revised" trailer for their upcoming bloody big boob feeding frenzy film Piranha 3Dd. The trailer has got a few new clips in it, some of which include more David Hasselhoff, which I'm sure is the main selling point of this movie for most of you. You all know what kind of movie you're going to get from this. So if you had a good time watching the first film, then you should enjoy the sequel, as it looks like it's going to be even more over the top.

I thought the first film kind of took itself too seriously for what it was. I was expecting something a bit more silly, this looks like it might be a bit more entertaining.
