- Sven Tumba was born on August 27, 1931 in Stockholm, Stockholms län, Sweden. He was an actor, known for P & B (1983), Oj oj oj eller 'Sången om den eldröda hummern' (1966) and Åsa-Nisse jubilerar (1959). He died on October 1, 2011 in Stockholm, Sweden.
- In 1965 he changed his name from Sven Johansson to Sven Tumba, using his old nickname 'Tumba'.
- A Swedish hockey legend. Sven Tumba won eight Swedish championships for Djurgårdens IF and represented Sweden in 14 World Cup tournaments. He also played for Boston Bruins in the NHL.
Sven Tumba invented the first hockey helmet, the so-called Spaps-helmet.
