Spoilers are ahead for Halo season 2's finale.
Halo season 3 must bring in key video game characters to maintain the success achieved in season 2. The introduction of new characters tied to the core canon, like an Arbiter, adds depth to the Paramount+ series. It would be great to see the Flood Gravemind, Avery Johnson, and others in action in Halo season 3.
Halo season 2 made substantial improvements after its first outing received loads of backlash from long-time fans of the video-game source material. While Halo season 3 will finally adapt Combat Evolved's story, it can't rest on the sophomore installment's laurels. In fact, to continue the Paramount+ series' success, Halo season 3 needs to introduce several key video game characters. Although the second season still kept Pablo Schreiber's Master Chief out of his Spartan armor for the majority of its episodes, Halo season 2 clearly understood the character — and the narrative — much better.

"Halo" is a story about a super soldier known as Master Chief (aka John-117) who fights aliens in space over ancient technology. You might think from the description that it's a story you've seen many times before. Certainly, "Halo" wears its influences on its sleeve. But don't underestimate the world of the games, which has thus far been the subject of over 30 novels, several comics, and one season of a live-action television show. Bungie cut their teeth directing the "Marathon" trilogy of narratively ambitious first-person shooters. "Halo" was targeted at a wider audience, but its developers still took the time to flesh out the game's setting. Rather than the heavy metal mishmash of "Doom" and its ilk, this would be a world of alien religious sects, military jargon, and Gregorian chanting.

It’s a good thing Kevin Hart is not the type of person to let setbacks discourage him. The “Get Hard” star appeared on “Conan” Tuesday and discussed his calamitous audition for “Saturday Night Live” early in his career. “I did an impression of Avery Johnson,” Hart said to a clueless Conan. “I did an impression of a person that nobody knew.” See Photos: The Scene at Comedy Central’s Justin Bieber Roast: Kevin Hart, Snoop, Shaq, Will Ferrell Hart explained that Johnson was an NBA player and later coach, not that it helped him much when he met “SNL” producer Lorne Michaels.

Kevin Hart hosted "Saturday Night Live" for the first time on Saturday, and wasted no time in his opening monologue settling some scores -- like, for instance, that he was rejected as an "SNL" cast member about a decade ago.
After doing an opening bit about a run-in with a homeless man in New York City, the stand-up comedian told a story about auditioning for the show's producers, who asked him to do impressions. Unfortunately, impressions aren't in his wheelhouse, but he impersonated former Mavericks and Nets coach Avery Johnson ("I found out white people don't know who Avery Johnson is"), Robert De Niro (using only facial expressions) and Denzel Washington in "Training Day" (despite not having seen "Training Day"). Needless to say, he didn't make the cut.
Check out the clip about to watch Hart's high-energy monologue. Do you think he should have made the cast?...

To all the Kris Humphries haters, New Jersey Nets coach Avery Johnson has a simple message: "Keep booing him." Amid a chorus of jeers, Kim Kardashian's ex-husband led his team to a big 90-84 win on Monday over the Washington Wizards in the season opener. Humphries, 26, who got a taste of the boo-birds in the preseason, wants to respond on the court to the mocking over his 72-day marriage to the reality starlet."To me, it's motivation," said Humphries after the game in Washington, The Record reports. "People are yelling at you, you know you have to go and perform,...

Kris Humphries was booed by Wizards fans during his Nets' opening night victory in Washington, DC on Monday night. The jeers, which began when he entered the game and continued each time he touched the ball, did not seem to phase the former Mr. Kim Kardashian; he finished the night with 21 points, 16 rebounds and a few nice talking points.
"People are yelling at you. You know you have to go and perform, go and play hard," he told the NY Post after the game, saying the boos served as "motivation" for him. "They want to have a reason to say something, so you have to try to not give them that reason. It makes it a hostile environment and it's kind of fun to play in that environment."

Washington -- Kris Humphries was booed even before the start of the game between his New Jersey Nets and the Washington Wizards, presumably because of his much-hyped – and short-lived marriage to reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
Once the basketball was in the air Monday night, Humphries really gave the Wizards and their fans reason to be angry, finishing with 21 points and 16 rebounds to help New Jersey erase a 21-point deficit and come all the way back to beat Washington 90-84 in the season opener for both teams.
In a duel of two top point guards, New Jersey's Deron Williams had 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, getting the better of Washington's John Wall, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft.
Wall had 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists, but he only shot 3 for 13. He had the ball in his hands with Washington down only by three in the final minute,...
