Spoilers are ahead for Halo season 2's finale.

Halo season 3 must bring in key video game characters to maintain the success achieved in season 2. The introduction of new characters tied to the core canon, like an Arbiter, adds depth to the Paramount+ series. It would be great to see the Flood Gravemind, Avery Johnson, and others in action in Halo season 3.

Halo season 2 made substantial improvements after its first outing received loads of backlash from long-time fans of the video-game source material. While Halo season 3 will finally adapt Combat Evolved's story, it can't rest on the sophomore installment's laurels. In fact, to continue the Paramount+ series' success, Halo season 3 needs to introduce several key video game characters. Although the second season still kept Pablo Schreiber's Master Chief out of his Spartan armor for the majority of its episodes, Halo season 2 clearly understood the character — and the narrative — much better.

"Halo" is a story about a super soldier known as Master Chief (aka John-117) who fights aliens in space over ancient technology. You might think from the description that it's a story you've seen many times before. Certainly, "Halo" wears its influences on its sleeve. But don't underestimate the world of the games, which has thus far been the subject of over 30 novels, several comics, and one season of a live-action television show. Bungie cut their teeth directing the "Marathon" trilogy of narratively ambitious first-person shooters. "Halo" was targeted at a wider audience, but its developers still took the time to flesh out the game's setting. Rather than the heavy metal mishmash of "Doom" and its ilk, this would be a world of alien religious sects, military jargon, and Gregorian chanting.

Emily Maynard is one happy mama!

The former Bachelorette star took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal the name of her fourth child, a baby boy, just four days after he was born.

Maynard shared an adorable pic of her newborn all bundled up in a cozy white bed sheet.

"We finally came up with a name and were able to leave the hospital!" she captioned it. "Meet Gatlin Avery Johnson, the sweetest little brother this family ever could've asked for."

Becky Hammon, a veteran of the Wnba, will become the first woman in a full-time coaching job when she starts work as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs.

It was announced that Hammon, 37, would join the Spurs coaching staff on Thursday.

"I very much look forward to the addition of Becky Hammon to our staff," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said in a statement. "Having observed her working with our team this past season, I'm confident her basketball Iq, work ethic and interpersonal skills will be a great benefit to the Spurs."

Unfortunately, impressions aren't in his wheelhouse, but he impersonated former Mavericks and Nets coach Avery Johnson ("I found out white people don't know who Avery Johnson is"), Robert De Niro (using only facial expressions) and Denzel Washington in "Training Day" (despite not having seen "Training Day"). The jeers, which began when he entered the game and continued each time he touched the ball, did not seem to phase the former Mr. Kim Kardashian; he finished the night with 21 points, 16 rebounds and a few nice talking points.

"People are yelling at you. You know you have to go and perform, go and play hard," he told the NY Post after the game, saying the boos served as "motivation" for him.
