Greg Joseph began acting at age 14 in local stage productions in his native Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated with an honors degree in Speech and Theatre from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In his senior year, he began acting professionally with Missouri Repertory. His big-screen break came when he was cast opposite Michael Douglas in "Adam at 6 A.M.," a drama produced by legendary actor Steve McQueen (the only scripted film he produced but did not star in), which brought Greg to Hollywood. He has stayed active ever since, winning Best of Fest Character Acting Honors at the Hollywood Shockfest Film Festival ("Ritual"), starred in an Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner ("The Last Dance"), starred in the Best-Ensemble winner at the New York First-Run Film Festival that was also winner of a National Board of Review Special Commendation ("When the Dogs Cried Out"), starred in the title role of a two-character drama that won Best of Fest honors at the Southern Arizona Independent Film Festival and was a top winner at the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) Festival of Media Arts ("The Amazing Mortimer"), and was nominated as Best Lead Actor at the Show Low International Film Festival for his portrayal of a deadly Middle East sentencing judge in a fact-based story ("Zarin"). Greg, who has been nominated for a Governor's Arts Award for his contributions to the arts, is a 56-year member of SAG-AFTRA, serving on its State Board of Directors, its Prime-Time Television Nominating Committee, and its National Committee for Performers with Disabilities. He has also served on the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Emmy) Regional Board of Governors. An award-winning journalist and critic in his other life (he was a member of the Television Critics Association), he shared a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of one of the worst air disasters in U.S. history. He profiled some of the most influential figures in Hollywood history, from Cary Grant (in one of his last interviews) to Billy Wilder ("Some Like It Hot") to Neil Simon ("The Odd Couple"), and appeared as a Guest Programmer on Turner Classic Movies for its 25th anniversary with primetime host Ben Mankiewicz.
