‘Erin & Aaron’ Canceled After One Season At Nickelodeon

There will be no second season for Erin & Aaron. Nickelodeon has canceled the musical-driven comedy series after one season, Deadline has confirmed.

The series followed teenage stepsiblings Erin (Ava Ro) and Aaron (Jensen Gering) as they navigate their new lives after their parent’s marriage, and find strength in their shared passion for music. The multi-camera series featured original songs and performances throughout the first season.

Cast also included Larisa Oleynik as Sylvia, David S Jung as Chuck and Pyper Braun as Natasha.

The series was created by Dicky Murphy, who also served as executive producer alongside showrunners Sean Cunningham and Marc Dworkin. Wendy Faraone directed the first three episodes. Samantha Martin served as co-executive producer.

‘Erin & Aaron’: Ava Ro & Jensen Gering To Lead Nickelodeon Series; Premiere Date & Teaser Trailer Revealed

Nickelodeon‘s new series Erin & Aaron has cast Ava Ro (Big Top Academy) and Jensen Gering (Wickensburg) as the titular duo, respectively.

The music-driven comedy will premiere two episodes on Thursday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. Et/Pt. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 13-episode-long season will be available on Nickelodeon weekly on Thursdays. The full season of Erin & Aaron will premiere on Netflix outside the U.S. this fall.

This is just a Disney Channel TV movie that is also being released as a feature on Disney+ this spring. The heartfelt romantic comedy is set during the emotion and excitement of high school prom season. It follows Mandy Yang, played by Peyton Elizabeth Lee, and her best friend Ben, seniors who are surrounded by extravagant promposals. But not even the excitement of prom can shake Mandy's focus on her primary goal: getting into Harvard. But she lands on the Ivy League's waitlist. So, she resorts to striking a deal with popular jock Graham, whose father is a prominent senator and a Harvard alum. And as any admirer of them will tell you — there's no such thing as having too much of the espionage genre. Amazon's newest series is turning up to be a great addition to it!

The company's latest project is a character-driven spy thriller led by "Lost" alum Daniel Dae Kim (via Variety). The series will be an adaptation of the 2015 graphic novel "Butterfly" by Arash Amel and Marguerite Bennett (writers) and Antonio Fuso and Stefano Simeone (illustrators). Paramount Plus has released the official trailer for “The Offer,” the upcoming drama miniseries that chronicles the making of “The Godfather.”

Set in the early 1970s, “The Offer” stars Miles Teller as Albert S. Ruddy, who is hired as the producer for the film adaptation of the best-selling novel “The Godfather,” written by Mario Puzo (played by Patrick Gallo). While the series faces typical behind the scenes tension between its director Francis Ford Coppola (Dan Fogler) and producing team, the filming grows more complicated when mob boss Joe Colombo (Giovanni Ribisi) signs on to help assist in the production. Netflix announced that 10 more actors have been added to the cast of “Wednesday,” the upcoming reboot of “The Addams Family” starring Jenna Ortega in the titular role.

Thora Birch joins the cast as Wednesday’s dorm mother Tamara Novak, while Riki Lindhome will play Wednesday’s therapist Dr. Valerie Kinbott, and Jamie McShane is Sheriff Donovan Galpin, who has a vendetta against Wednesday’s father Gomez (Luis Guzmán).

Roth co-wrote the screenplay with Aftershock co-writer Guillermo Amoedo from an original story by Roth. Roth recently directed the pilot episode of Netflix’s “Hemlock Grove.”
