Anime is currently an illustrious medium that's seeing a lot of global success, especially regarding money. With merchandise, streaming or the box office, however, anime is flying higher than ever. International fans ensure that some of these titles remain popular. Unfortunately, not every anime or anime movie is a hit, especially decades ago, when the medium was much less mainstream.
Anime has had its fair share of flops and overlooked gems, with these failing to attract mainstream success. Some of them were anime movies that failed to make a splash at the box office, while others were well-received anime TV shows that simply didn't get enough viewership or home media sales. Thankfully, the present-day success of anime has allowed these previous works to find new life, especially on streaming platforms that put them in front of millions with the mere click of a button.

The Thousand-Year Blood War brought the Bleach manga to a close, although many fans still complain that the final arc failed to provide closure. Many character arcs were rushed to completion, with loose threads all over the place. More importantly, a few crucial storylines were left unresolved, some of which were rectified by the anime adaptation. All things considered, the Thousand-Year Blood War arc was filled to the brim with some of the most exciting battles in Bleach.
The villainous Sternritter of the Wandenreich overwhelmed the noble Shinigami of Soul Society, compelling the intrepid heroes to come up with alternative strategies. Numerous new powers were introduced in the process, including several previously unknown Bankai. Bleach has always been known for its glorious fight sequences, and the Thousand-Year Blood War does not disappoint.
