As you know, Netflix has had a series of successful series. And while most of them have been American productions, there are also some foreign productions that the fans thoroughly enjoyed.
Among these series is the French crime drama Lupin, whose first season aired in 2021. Since then, the series has aired a total of two seasons split into three parts (Season 1 was split into two parts), but there hasn’t been much news about the series since 2023.
And while fans have been worrying about the series’ future, we are happy to confirm that there is absolutely no reason for worrying, as the series is coming back for a fourth part very soon.

Hugh Laurie is returning to television — not that he's really gone anywhere, but it does feel like the acclaimed House actor has been extremely selective about projects since his iconic medical procedural series took its final on-screen bow in 2012. The British writer is most known for Lupin, his popular Netflix series, as well as AppleTV+'s other crime thriller, Hijack. He also wrote the television miniseries The Long Shadow, which was highly acclaimed and well-received in the UK.

Isabelle Degeorges, president of Gaumont Television, has teased the upcoming six-episode series by Cédric Anger. Under the working title “In the Shadow of the Forest” (“A l’ombre des forêts”) and developed for Apple TV+, it features Benoit Magimel and Mélanie Laurent.
“It’s about paranoia,” said Degeorges.
“Four friends go to hunt in the forest and suddenly, somebody’s shooting at them. They have one second to decide what to do. They end up killing somebody. They are human – they’ve made the wrong decision, but their life becomes a nightmare. For me, it was interesting to wonder what I would’ve done in their place.”
Cédric Anger is also behind “Next Time I’ll Aim for the Heart” and “Paris Pigalle.”
“He has written the script and directed the show. He came to us and wanted to tell this story, but it was his story. He’s a cineaste.

Netflix France’s jewel in the crown will be coming back for another season. It’s been rumored for quite some time, and Netflix still hasn’t officially announced the return, but a new casting listing today confirms that the series is set to get back into production this April. Here’s what’s been said about the future of Lupin and season 4 (or maybe a movie?) so far.
Rumors of the renewal have been bubbling away for quite some time. Edward Lauder for Small Screen, citing sources close to the production, first reported that the series was in active development all the way back in October 2023. Since then, all has been quiet. The last we heard about season 4 of Lupin in any official sense was back in October 2024 when Variety snuck in a reference to the show an article about an executive shuffle. They wrote about Lupin...

Exclusive: A bombshell investigation into how fossil fuel companies blocked action to prevent climate change is being turned into a TV series.
David MacPherson, creator of Prime Video series The Rig, is teaming with The Spanish Princess producer New Pictures on an adaptation of Geoff Dembicki’s The Petroleum Papers: Inside the Far-Right Conspiracy to Cover Up Climate Change.
Similar in scope to Hulu hit Dopesick, which was also based on a non-fiction work, the book draws on hundreds of confidential oil industry documents spanning decades, revealing how the fossil fuel industry joined forces with right-wing politicians to halt progress on preventing the climate crisis. Investigative journalist Dembicki tells the story of how American oil companies ignored warnings about climate devastation as early as 1959. Instead of alerting the world to act on an impending global disaster, the companies created advertising campaigns arguing that climate change wasn’t real and that...

All3Media is gearing up to splash out in the scripted market now that the £1.15B ($1.5B) RedBird Imi acquisition is complete.
CEO Jane Turton said at MIPCOM that the Fleabag and The Tourists super-indie will likely unveil new label acquisitions or launches over the “next few months or years,” and that these will be in the scripted space.
All3, which has around 40 labels, has been quiet in the acquisitions market of late following a lengthy sales process that ended with Jeff Zucker and Gerry Cardinale’s company RedBird Imi splashing out on the firm.
Turton pointed to the new All3Media-backed label formed by Lupin scribe George Kay as a textbook example of what could be to come.
“There’s not a thinning of the herd [in terms of buyers of content] and the herd feels just as numerous as they always did, and it is very competitive,” said Turton. “So you try to do deals,...

Fans of the AppleTV+ series Hijack have been forced to endure a long wait for the second season of the popular thriller.
The bad news is that they'll need to wait at least a few more months, as filming for Hijack Season 2 is currently underway in the UK.
The good news is that star Idris Elba will be joined by a top-tier supporting cast when the show eventually makes its way back to our screens.
Deadline reported today that three very talented stars are currently on set in London.
First off is Toby Jones, a British actor, who might he might be best known for his work in American period pieces, such as Frost/Nixon, My Week With Marilyn, and Infamous (in which he memorably portrayed Truman Capote).
While he's gained a reputation as an esteemed "actor's actor," Jones is no stranger to the world of action and green screens.

Toby Jones, Lisa Vicari and Christiane Paul are set to join season two of Apple TV+’s Hijack, produced by and starring Idris Elbra.
Since its debut, Hijack has become one of Apple TV+’s top dramas. Details on the story for season two are being kept under wraps, but Elba will reprise his role as Sam Nelson — a corporate negotiator who in the first season used his skills to bring about a resolution to the hijacking of a flight on which he was a passenger.
Hijack, which concluded its seven-episode first season in August, drew solid viewership for Apple TV+, becoming the second series on the platform (after Ted Lasso) to earn a spot on Nielsen’s weekly top 10 streaming chart. Reviews were generally favorable as well, with The Hollywood Reporter‘s TV critic Angie Han noting that co-creators George Kay and Jim Field Smith “keep the tension at a delicious thrum.
