Image
The temporary restraining order that dissolved the trusteeship of Nabet-cwa Local 41 has been converted to a preliminary injunction, meaning that the local’s elected officers will remain on the job until a trial is held to determine whether the trusteeship was valid. In the local’s March elections, Siddiqui and his entire slate of running mates overwhelmingly defeated the local’s prior leadership, headed by former president Chris Willadsen and former treasurer Patrick Keating,...

The Academy will award up to five $30,000 fellowships in November. Last year's competition drew 6,304 entries; since 1985, the Academy has awarded 118 fellowships, which function as a gateway to the industry.
