Bill Kenney was born into the film business. His mother was a well known research Dept head at WB, Disney, and Universal, his father was in IA 683 Film techs. Bill was drafted into the U.S Army, and served in Korea. His career started at Universal in 1954 when he was 18, He spent 18 years there starting in the Labor dept. and leaving in 1972 as a full Production designer to begin a free lance career. While at Universal he worked as a laborer, grip dept. machine shop, stock unit dept., and a set designer, assistant art director, and art director. While free lancing he worked on many feature films and long form TV dramas.. Some of the people he worked with were Marvin Chomsky, Peter McGregor Scott, Andrew Davis, Robert Aldrich, Peter McDonald, Larry Kasdan. Bill retired when he was 60 and moved to Mexico on the beach. While living in Mexico he built five homes in the 15 years he was there. He has moved back to Studio city and travels for his enjoyment.
