Writer/Producer Jack Kenny Lists Los Feliz Mediterranean Villa (Exclusive)
Jack Kenny
Veteran television writer/producer Jack Kenny, currently an executive producer on the sophomore season of the Netflix superhero series “Jessica Jones,” has his longtime home in the hills of Los Angeles’ historic and historically celeb-favored Los Feliz area available at $5.2 million. Kenny, whose previous projects include the “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” sitcom, the supernatural series “Warehouse 13” and the late 1990s sitcom “Caroline in the City,” and his longtime partner and husband Michael Goodell, son of former New York Senator Charles Goodell and brother to exceedingly well compensated NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, purchased the property in the fall of 2001 for $1.685 million. Privately and securely positioned atop a high rampart and behind imposing driveway gates on an elevated parcel of almost half of an acre, the three-story, updated 1930s Mediterranean villa measures in at 4,682-square-feet with five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

No word yet on who might serve as showrunner or star in the series, but expect more in the not too distant future. Clive Barker to Produce The CW’s In-the-Works TV Series Adaptation of Weaveworld
The CW is looking to adapt one of the literary realms created by the great imaginer, Clive Barker.

According to /Film, a TV series adaptation of Clive Barker's 1987 dark fantasy novel, Weaveworld, is in development at The CW. Barker is attached as an executive producer for the adaptation, which is set to be penned and produced by Jack Kenny (Warehouse 13).

The series is already lined up to be different from the source material, with the following synopsis teased:

"In the TV adaptation, an app designer teams up with a young pastry chef who has just discovered that she is destined to be guardian of a mythological realm that can be accessed through a portal in an old Savannah mansion. Together, they fight an epic battle with evil forces who are vying for control of the magical world."

Weaveworld: fantasy novel adaptation coming to The CW
Clive Barker’s horror/fantasy novel Weaveworld is getting the televisual treatment at The CW. It will involve a pastry chef...

The CW has found another project to add to its ever-growing stable of shows – Weaveworld, a 1987 horror/fantasy novel by Clive Barker, is currently in development for a TV adaptation.

Barker will serve as an executive producer for the series, with Warehouse 13’s Jack Kenny writing the scripts (as well as joining Barker as an exec producer).

A film or TV adaptation for Weaveworld has been touted for some time, but until now it's only been adapted in an Image Comics graphic novel. The sheer scale of the property - and the special effects it would entail - has often been cited as a stumbling block. The CW's experience with impressive VFX on a TV budget (see: The Flash) should help them here.

If you’re unfamiliar, the...

Falling Skies season 5 episode 8 review: Stalag 14th Virginia
Noah Wyle makes his Falling Skies directorial debut with a middling episode that's still one step forward, two steps back...

This review contains spoilers.

5.8 Stalag 14th Virginia

There are now two episodes remaining in the run of Falling Skies, and true to form, we've spent the last two instalments mucking about in a Rio Bravo last redoubt military encampment where the commanding officer is running amok and governing by fear while allowing the soldiers to do whatever they like in the name of keeping folks together. Granted, this group seems a bit more together than the underground survivors of Day Of The Dead or the hospital from the fifth season of The Walking Dead, but there's not a whole lot of difference between the zombie survival and the alien survival scenario, except the aliens are less of an omnipresent threat and more of a military force to be avoided until...

Falling Skies season 5 episode 4 review: Pope Breaks Bad
Falling Skies felt like wheel-spin this week, but its portrayal of war continues to impress. Here's Ron's review...

This review contain spoilers.

5.4 Pope Breaks Bad

It seems that the characters on Falling Skies have had a hard time adjusting to the world of war. They've been fighting for three years, and admirably, they haven't stopped fighting. That's one of the reasons Cochise and the other Volm are impressed by the inferior but troublesome race of man-animals using primitive gunpowder weapons to bring down Espheni. Of course, not all humans have the power of positive thinking best demonstrated by the Mason family. Some humans find themselves damaged by the war, haunted by those that have been lost (or those yet to be lost), becoming tired and hungry and traumatized. Some humans are ready to turn on their own kind.

The weak link in the Second Mass is, as always, John Pope.

‘Warehouse 13′ – Series Finale Review (Spoiler Free)
Stars: Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, Allison Scagliotti, Aaron Ashmore | Written by John-Paul Nickel | Directed by Jack Kenny

Series creator Jack Kenny gets behind (and in front of) the camera for the last-ever episode of one of my (and Nerdly’s) favourite sci-fi/fantasy shows of all-time, Warehouse 13.

Coming hot on the heels of last weeks episode which wrapped up the main storyline post the season 4 cliffhanger and it’s fall out (the alternate timeline, Claudia’s sister etc.), this series finale had plenty of breathing room to give the series the send-off it truly deserved, a send-off which will both please and frustrate long-standing fans. Yes, we get the character resolution that often is missing from cancelled TV shows, but the episode also serves to remind the audience what we will be missing now the series has ended!

Given that the team behind the show knew the...

Emily S. Whitten: Warehouse 13 Interviews – The Final Season
I love Warehouse 13. It’s clever, it’s fun, it’s steampunky, it’s got tons of awesome historical references, and it’s full of great characters and relationships. Sadly, it’s now coming into its last, and shortened, six-episode season – but that’s not slowing the cast and crew down one bit! I got to talk with some of them at Sdcc, and they shared both some retrospective thoughts on past seasons, and a bit of what we can expect to see in the final season! So read on for details!

Aaron Ashmore (actor, Steve Jinks)

Hi Aaron! Tell us what you can about the new season.

We’ve got a great way to wrap it up; and if you have been watching Season 4, Paracelsus has taken over the Warehouse, so we obviously have to deal with that. There’s also an issue with Claudia and her having a sister,...

Charlie Weber on “Warehouse 13″, “Buffy” and Riding Naked on an Elephant
Charlie Weber photographed by Clinton Gaughran for TheBacklot.com

Last night actor Charlie Weber turned up on Warehouse 13 as Liam Napier, who we discover is the former boyfriend of gay warehouse agent Steve Jinks (Aaron Ashmore). That was more than enough excuse to grab the handsome Charlie for a photo shoot in Los Feliz, California. We also spoke with Weber about his guest role, his former career as a male model, his very memorable stint on the fifth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and more!

The Backlot: We’re talking to Charlie Weber of Warehouse 13, and my first question is just what makes you think you’re good enough for our little Jinksie?

Charlie Weber: [laughter] I don’t know that I am. I think that’s why he left me.

I don’t know, I think the episode kind of bears out that you weren’t the problem.

Filming For Final 'Warehouse 13' Set To Begin
For the last time, the cast and crew for "Warehouse 13" will assemble to start a season when production for Season 5 begins in Toronto on June 24. The show earned a final shortened season last month after slowly eroding ratings sped up once Syfy moved the family show to its 10 p.m. timeslot on Mondays after "Defiance." With much of its audience in bed by then, especially on school nights, it was by far the beginning of the end for the show that officially launched Syfy's rebranding in 2009. "'Warehouse 13' has been my dream job these past four years," showrunner Jack Kenny said in a statement. The Agents of Warehouse 13 Head Into Production of the Final Season
This will be a year of sad countdowns, as we are set to lose the Eleventh Doctor, and Warehouse 13 heads into its final season. It’s at least a blessing that we know, and more important the writers know, far in advance, so that the final seasons for a beloved character and a beloved show will be developed appropriately.

Syfy today announced that production of Warehouse 13‘s final season will begin later this month. Here’s the press release:

Warehouse 13 To Open Its Doors For The Final Time On June 24Th

New York – June 6, 2013 – Syfy announced today that Warehouse 13, the Emmy Award-nominated, long-running hit series, will commence production on its fifth and final season June 24th in Toronto.

The six all-new episodes of Season 5 will premiere in 2014.

Said Warehouse 13 showrunner and executive producer Jack Kenny “Warehouse 13 has been my dream job these past four years.

Warehouse 13's fifth season to be its last
News Louisa Mellor 20 May 2013 - 06:30

Syfy's Warehouse 13 is bowing out after a six-episode fifth season, due to air in 2014...

Expanding from a sci-fi/fantasy pilot to a five-season original series is no mean feat, so it's with a proud salute (long way up, short way down) that we say goodbye to Warehouse 13. The Jack Kenny-run series is confirmed to to be ending next year after a six-episode fifth run.

Syfy President of Original Content, Mark Stern, expressed gratitude to Warehouse 13's "loyal and passionate fan base" for their support throughout the show's run, and praised the "gifted creative team and outstanding ensemble cast" for their work over the years.

Though Warehouse 13's fifth and final season is to be a shortened run of only six instalments, a cursory bit of maths shows us that we're not being sold short overall, as the currently...

'Warehouse 13': Season 5 will be its last, Syfy says
Syfy's original series "Warehouse 13" will end next year with a shortened final season.

The show, which is nearing the end of its fourth season, will get a six-episode fifth season to wrap up its story, the cable channel says. Production on the final episodes is scheduled to start this summer, and they're set to air sometime next year.

"'Warehouse 13' has been an incredible signature series for us," says Mark Stern, president of original content at Syfy. "We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan base and know that [executive producer] Jack Kenny, his gifted creative team, and outstanding ensemble cast will give them an amazing finale season."

Ratings for the show have fallen off some this season, although not drastically. For Season 4 as a whole (which spans two blocks going back to last summer), it draws about 1.6 million viewers and a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49, compared...

Warehouse 13 Gets a Final 6-Episode 5th Season
Meanwhile, “Alphas” is still canceled. Sonofa… Syfy has renewed flagship drama Warehouse 13 for a fifth season, which will be its last. Production on the final six-episode installment of the series, on which Jack Kenny serves as executive producer/showrunner, will begin in Toronto this summer for a 2014 run. “Warehouse 13 has been an incredible signature series for us,” said Syfy President of Original Content Mark Stern. “We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan base and know that Jack Kenny, his gifted creative team, and outstanding ensemble cast will give them an amazing finale season.” This 6-episode final season thing seems to be a trend. “Nikita” got the same thing. Oh well. At least “Warehouse 13″ fans will get a proper send-off. No doubt the final 6 episodes will be just as badly written, directed, and acted as the rest of the series. Oh come on, “Warehouse 13″ fans,...

What?! Warehouse 13 Gets Renewed – For a Six Episode Final Season [Updated]
This Is Just Crazy. There must be more to the story, but we wanted to let you know as soon as possible. I’ve been on conference calls with all of the main cast members plus the showrunner in recent weeks and none of them indicated an interest in finishing off the show. Maybe it was getting too expensive. Maybe showrunner Jack Kenny or more than one of the actors in the primary roles wants to work on other projects that would keep them away too long.

Regardless of the reason, Deadline broke the news late last night that the next season of Warehouse 13 would be its last, stating that the show would be shooting a final 6 episodes in Toronto this summer. “Warehouse 13 has been an incredible signature series for us,” said Syfy President of Original Content Mark Stern. “We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan...

Syfy renews "Warhouse 13" for a six-episode final season
Tags: TV newstelevisionWarehouse 13Joanne KellyJaime MurrayWAPIMDb

Good news, nerdsbians: Syfy has heard your #RenewWarehouse13 cry and picked up the show for a final, six-episode season! Yesterday, Syfy boss Mark Stern told Deadline:

Warehouse 13 has been an incredible signature series for us. We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan base and know that Jack Kenny, his gifted creative team, and outstanding ensemble cast will give them an amazing finale season.

The fifth season will film this summer and air in 2014.

I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I'm fully going to get all up in this gift horse's grill. Warehouse 13 has been a remarkable sci-fi series, one of the best original programs Syfy has ever produced. I know it's sacrilege, but I'd put it up there with Battlestar Galactica. And gay lady viewers have been smitten with H.G. and Myka's relationship from the very beginning.

Syfy To Close 'Warehouse 13' After Fifth Season
A lot has changed since the beginning of 2012. "Warehouse 13" was riding high, even with the sudden departure of sister show "Eureka," and it looked like it could last forever after Syfy expanded its fourth season order from 13 episodes to 20. But now, "Warehouse 13" gets ready for what will be its fifth and final season. And showrunner Jack Kenny and his crew have just six episodes to wrap it up. "That you all for the 'Warehouse 13' love," star Eddie McClintock told his fans via Twitter. "Six episodes [are] definitely better than a 'get lost.' I promise we won't let you down." Kenny told Airlock Alpha after the decision was made that his writing team already had six "fantastic episodes planned." "I'm just glad they gave us a nice exit," Kenny said. "Way better than just canceled. ...

Syfy Renews and Cancels “Warehouse 13″
This stinks.

Syfy has renewed Warehouse 13 for a fifth season, but it will be its last. And cut in half.

The final Six episodes will film in Toronto this summer for a 2014 release.

“Warehouse 13 has been an incredible signature series for us,” said Syfy President of Original Content Mark Stern. “We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan base and know that Jack Kenny, his gifted creative team, and outstanding ensemble cast will give them an amazing finale season.”

Well, at least we have the rest of this season to look forward to before we start counting down to the end. And with six episodes after that, there’s still time to hook up Jinksy and Josh.

Artie, Claudia, and Steve Talk to SciFiMafia.com About Warehouse 13
Now that things are starting to settle down around the warehouse – if that ever truly happens – after the astrolabe incident and the death of Leena, I’m looking forward to seeing what’s coming next from our pals on Warehouse 13. Tonight is the supercool “noir” episode we heard about from Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly and showrunner Jack Kenny recently, but what about the other main characters?

I spoke on the phone with Saul Rubinek, Allison Scagliotti, and Aaron Ashmore last week about the episodes to come, and got a giant and wonderful response:

SciFiMafia.com: We had a call last week with Jack and Joanne and Eddie, and they were…

Saul Rubinek: Oh, my condolences.

SciFiMafia.com: (laughing) It was fun. They were talking about some of the episodes that are coming up, and I was wondering if each of you have a favorite episode or story line...

Syfy Renews 'Defiance,' But 'Warehouse 13' Waits
"Defiance," the bold (and very expensive) new series from Syfy, earned a second season Friday as expected. But it's what Syfy has yet to renew that may be getting more attention. "Warehouse 13," which is in the middle of its fourth season, has yet to receive any news about its fate. Although showrunner Jack Kenny has told Airlock Alpha that he is breaking stories for a fifth season, nothing has come down from the powers that be on high that there will be more of the show when the fall or winter rolls around. What might be even more telling is the lack of cheering over ratings that usually comes out of Syfy when a show is performing well. Although the cable channel announced to news outlets its version of the Nielsen ratings numbers for the first two episodes of "Defiance," it has been ...
