Warner Bros. took an interesting approach to the first teaser trailer for Final Destination Bloodlines, releasing a death sequence that effectively reminds us what the Final Destination franchise is all about. It’s been 14 years since the most recent installment, after all, making it a smart choice to usher us back into this world with some classic Final Destination mayhem.
One thing Warner Bros. confirmed for the very first time this week is that the late horror legend Tony Todd, who passed away last November, has a role in Final Destination Bloodlines.
Tony Todd played the enigmatic mortician William Bludworth in Final Destination, Final Destination 2, and Final Destination 5, and he’ll be back in this year’s brand new sequel.
It was recently rumored that Bloodlines would be diving into Bludworth’s backstory, including a flashback to his childhood, but we’ll have to wait a few months to find out.

Death sets one unsuspecting tattoo artist’s business (and body) ablaze in the fiery, gruesome first teaser trailer for “Final Destination Bloodlines.”
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, whose previous credits include 2018’s “Freaks” and the live-action “Kim Possible” movie, the new film comes 14 years after “Final Destination 5” hit theaters in 2011. It’s based on a screenplay by Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick (“Scream IV”) and will follow a new assortment of characters as they try to cheat Death and escape the grisly, cartoonishly constructed ends that await them.
The film’s first trailer is a simple return to form for the “Final Destination” franchise. Across its succinct two minutes, the spot follows a tattooist (Richard Harmon) grieving his father’s recent passing who ends up caught literally in a quickly escalating trap set in motion by Death itself. The results are predictably brutal and horrifying.
Check out the teaser below.

Believe it or not, it was 2011 when the last Final Destination movie was released. However, the franchise returns this summer with Final Destination Bloodlines, a movie we've previously heard will be part prequel, part sequel.
According to Warner Bros. and New Line, this sixth instalment "takes audiences back to the very beginning of Death's twisted sense of justice." In today's newly released teaser trailer (via FearHQ.com), we find a tattoo artist surrounded by a series of chain reactions, all of which culminate with his grisly demise. That involves fire, a ceiling fan, and a pretty horrific use of his piercings.
While this is more like an extended clip than a traditional trailer, it promises the sort of death and gore fans of these movies have loved since the series launched in 2000 (feel old yet?).
Whether Final Destination Bloodlines can successfully relaunch the long-running horror property remains to be seen,...

Death Is Back And The Kills Are As Gnarly As Ever In First Trailer For Final Destination: Bloodlines
Horror reboots are all the rage these days. Scream, Scary Movie, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Saw — you name it, there's a decent chance someone's out there with red string and pins figuring out a fiendish way to bring it back. With that being said, the latest addition to the growing reboot canon is New Line Cinema's Final Destination: Bloodlines, the first new entry in what remains the only major franchise that can proudly boast Death itself as its antagonist since Final Destination 5 some 14 years ago. And if the gnarly first trailer for Freaks directors Adam B. Stein & Zach Lipovsky's upcoming movie is anything to go by, then we may be in for the Grim Reaper's gnarliest killing spree yet. If you have any piercings, proceed with caution:
Over the years, the Final Destination franchise has given us a slew of memorable fatalities. Death...

Fourteen years after “Final Destination 5” made a bloody splash in theaters, the trailer for the newest addition to the long-running horror franchise, “Final Destination: Bloodlines,” has released just in time for the series’ 25th anniversary.
Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, who previously worked together on 2018’s “Freaks” and “Kim Possible,” are directing a script from Guy Busick (“Scream VI”) and Lori Evans (“Lucky Dog”). This sixth film marks Lipovsky and Stein’s entryway into “Final Destination,” continuing the franchise’s trend of bringing on fresh directors.
The trailer shows a tattoo artist giving a client a painful tongue piercing before giving himself a tattoo. As he works, he doesn’t notice a series of chain reaction that unfolds and ultimately results in his death. A chain from the ceiling falls, attaches itself to the man’s nose ring, gets wrapped around a fan and pulls him up by the...

The "Final Destination" franchise has proven to be one of the most consistent horror properties around thanks to its highly malleable yet tightly constructed concept (which easily lends itself to sequels that only build upon what came before). Even the "worst" of the "Final Destination" movies is still wild-as-hell and offers hugely entertaining kills, while the best ones have burnt themselves into our collective minds and forever made people switch lanes when driving behind logging trucks. After all, the "Final Destination" franchise is not about a supernatural dream killer or a masked murderer; it's about death itself and ordinary scenarios going very, very deadly wrong.
For whatever reason, it's now been over a decade since the last time we got a "Final Destination" movie — though, honestly, that one just ended so perfectly it would have been fine to leave it there. Fortunately, our long wait is over, because "Final Destination Bloodlines" is almost upon us.

2024 was a great year for horror fans as we got horrifyingly beautiful films like Nosferatu and Longlegs. While 2024 was a great year, 2025 is going to be something as we will see the release of much-anticipated films like the Last Conjuring film and Guillermo del Toro‘s take on the classic novel Frankenstein. So, we decided to compile a list of the most anticipated horror films that are coming in 2025.

Presence is an upcoming supernatural horror thriller film directed by Steven Soderbergh from a screenplay by David Koepp. The upcoming film revolves around a family who move into a suburban neighborhood and soon believe their house is haunted. While the plot for Presence sounds like a typical horror film, the ultimate twist, aka hook for the upcoming Soderbergh film, is that the film is shot from the ghost’s perspective.

The feel-good dramedy series wrapped up its three-season run this past weekend, but there are plenty of other shows to watch next.
Pour out one last tiny ‘tini or margarini for TV’s best feel-good series. This past Sunday, Dec. 8, HBO’s “Somebody Somewhere,” starring Bridget Everett, finished airing its third and final season. Everett starred as Sam, a woman in her 40s who returns to her hometown of Manhattan, Kansas, to navigate the death of her sister, where she finds a new and renewed community amongst her family and friends.
Few shows in recent memory have felt as warm and authentic as “Somebody Somewhere,” which also co-starred Jeff Hiller, Mary Catherine Garrison, Murray Hill, and more, never shying away from sadness or loneliness but instead embracing it with empathy toward being alive.

The 2000s gave rise to some of the best horror movies and franchises, and one of them was certainly ‘Final Destination.’ The movie was rather unique since it introduced a unique concept: death as an unstoppable force that follows people who escape it.
Instead of a typical villain, the suspense comes from creative and unexpected ways characters meet their fate. Its clever premise and shocking twists made it stand out in the horror genre.
The franchise as a whole ultimately gave rise to 5 installments in total. The sequels had mixed reviews. Some praised their creative death scenes and suspenseful moments, while others criticized them for repetitive plots and lack of character depth. There are only so many movies can that spin the concept and add a unique twist before it becomes bland and boring.
Fans enjoyed the franchise’s over-the-top thrills, but critics felt it lost some originality as it went on.

Final Destination: Bloodlines finally has a release date! Warner Bros. has dated the film for May 16, 2025, after years of back-and-forth during the development process. By the time the sixth film in the franchise is released in theaters, it will have been 14 years since we last saw a Final Destination movie.
The last film in the series, Final Destination 5, was released in August 2011. Final Destination 5 was better received than the fourth entry, with some people feeling it was one of the best in the franchise. Plans for a sixth film were made shortly after, but things hit a development snag amid the Covid-19 pandemic. After that, it seemed like Warner Bros. wasn't entirely sure what to do with the franchise. At one point, it was going to be distributed by its Max streaming service.

Last year, Final Destination 6 (which is going by the title Final Destination: Bloodlines) finally, after years of development and a thirteen year gap between sequels, made its way through production. Franchise producer Craig Perry previously let it be known that the film was aiming for a theatrical release in 2025 – in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film. It will even be on IMAX screens! Now, Deadline has confirmed that Final Destination: Bloodlines is set to reach theatres on May 16, 2025. As of right now, it’s the only major studio film scheduled to get a wide theatrical release on that date.
This long-awaited sequel is coming our way from Warner Bros. The studio also announced that they’ll be bringing Legendary Entertainment’s live action hybrid road movie Animal Friends to theatres on October 10, 2025. Unfortunately, Final Destination: Bloodlines could only secure its May release date because Warner Bros.

Showrunner Anna Fishko confirms multiple seasons are planned for Orphan Black: Echoes. The new season could go in different directions, says Fishko. Future seasons have the opportunity to build on the strength of the first installment.
Orphan Black: Echoes showrunner Anna Fishko offers an optimistic response about the future of the AMC show. Consisting of ten episodes, the Orphan Black spinoff stars Breaking Bad and Jessica Jones actor Krysten Ritter as Lucy, a woman who wakes up with no memory of who she is. As the series progresses, more is revealed about a cloning conspiracy that carries strong connections with the original series. With a supporting cast that includes Keeley Hawes, Amanda Fix, and Avan Jogia, the first installment leaves plenty of room for further exploration.
In an interview with Collider, following the Orphan Black: Echoes season 1 finale, Fishko was asked about whether the spinoff could return for more seasons.
