Nick and Audrey Spitz return in Murder Mystery 2. After the events of the first film, the couple have become full-time private investigators, but they are struggling to get their detective agency off the ground. The couple is invited by their old friend the Maharaja to his wedding. However, they are once again pulled into a web of lies, corruption, and crime when they are framed for the Maharaja's kidnapping and must frantically work to clear their names in a major international crime for the second time.

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler return to star in Murder Mystery 2, with Adeel Akhtar, Dany Boon, and John Kani also reprising their roles. Mark Strong, Mélanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Enrique Arce join the cast. Murder Mystery 2 is directed by Jeremy Garelick with a script penned by James Vanderbilt.

The “Vengeance” writer, director, producer, and lead star told IndieWire during a recent interview that casting Ashton Kutcher as a charismatic record producer quickly gave Novak the face of the film.
