Terrifier franchise heroine Lauren Lavera has the lead in the upcoming pregnancy horror film The Fetus – and while a specific release date hasn’t been announced for this one, a trailer for the film has made its way online, and you can check it out in the embed above. We previously saw a teaser trailer for The Fetus way back in March of last year.
Written and directed by Joe Lam, with Nathan Faudree and Yuke Li credited as story consultants, The Fetus tells the story of a couple struggling to learn the truth about the origins of their unborn child– a demonic entity that emerges from the body. Here’s an alternative synopsis: When Alessa becomes pregnant, it brings up Chris’ deep-rooted trauma surrounding fatherhood. Upon discovering that their fetus craves human blood, they visit his father, Maddox, for answers.

We’ll see Terrifier 2 star Lauren Lavera get her rematch with Art the Clown when Terrifier 3 reaches theatres this October, but sometime this year we’ll also have the chance to see Lavera take the lead in the pregnancy horror film The Fetus. A specific release date hasn’t yet been announced for this one, but a trailer for the film has made its way online, and you can check it out in the embed above.

I may not have been a fan of Terrifier 2 (my review is Here), but I was impressed by the work Lauren Lavera did in the lead role, and by the time the end credits started to roll I was convinced that she is a star on the rise. So I’m glad to see that she has already completed work on another genre movie – one that co-stars the great Bill Moseley! The movie is called The Fetus, and our friends at Bloody Disgusting have gotten their hands on a batch of first look images that can also be seen at the bottom of this article.
There isn’t a lot of available information on The Fetus at this time, but we do know that it was written and directed by Joe Lam, with Nathan Faudree and Yuke Li credited as story consultants. The story they were consulted about centers...

Eight years have passed since Michael Shannon’s first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor, picked up for his performance in 2008’s “Revolutionary Road,” and in that time Shannon has become one of the busiest actors in Hollywood, starring in more than 35 feature films.
Shannon recently earned his second Best Supporting Actor nod for Tom Ford’s 2016 dramatic thriller “Nocturnal Animals,” which sees the actor playing a chain-smoking detective named Bobby Andes who’s tasked with investigating a horrific crime.

Shannon’s Andes exists in a story within a story, as “Nocturnal Animals” revolves around a manuscript sent to a wealthy art gallery owner named Susan, played by Amy Adams. The movie shifts back and forth between the events of Susan’s actual life and a live-action depiction of the contents of the manuscript.

There are only so many different pinball tables in the world, and many of them have already been recreated in digital form by Farsight, the developers of The Pinball Arcade. According to the Internet Pinball Database, eight of the top ten pinball games of all time have already been remade into digitized Pinball Arcade tables. But as the ever increasing selection of tables continues to grow, it could eventually become harder to find tables that capture the same interest level of earlier releases.
The good news is that Farsight has announced plans to not only continue to preserve pinball history, but to make some history of their own. In an interview with BBC News, Bobby King, Farsight’s vice president of product development, announced plans to create original table designs for future Pinball Arcade updates, and work with legendary pinball designers to create them.

How did we love Thursday's (April 26) episode of "Parks and Recreation," "The Debate," written and directed by Amy Poehler? Let us count the (many) ways.
1. Every bit of physical comedy by Paul Rudd. We're rooting against Bobby Newport, because this is Leslie's show and he's the privileged, unqualified front-runner. But Rudd has made Bobby kind of an endearing doofus -- there's no way we'd want him on the city council if we lived in Pawnee, but he's not really a bad guy, just a clueless one. The way Bobby walked off the stage at the end of the debate, bobbing his head and shoulders, almost reminded us of a Muppet. Excellent, excellent stuff.
2. Buddy Garrity! "Friday Night Lights" alum Brad Leland played gun enthusiast Fester Trim (love that name) in the episode, and he made the most of his limited screen time. We're not sure we're in favor of concussion grenades in our movie theaters,...

No, it’s not something you should consider giving to your own mum for Mother’s Day next year… but director Darren Lynn Bousman’s dark chiller certainly is for those who enjoy psychological torment. Released today on Blu-ray and DVD, our review follows…
Following a disastrous bank robbery attempt that leaves one of their number critically wounded, three brothers (Patrick John Flueger, Warren Kole and Matt O’Leary) head for their childhood home to take refuge until the dust settles. What they don’t know is their mother (Rebecca De Mornay) recently lost possession of the house in a foreclosure and no longer lives there. Instead, they stumble across the new owners, a young couple, and their guests who are in the middle of birthday celebration. Seeing no alternative, the brothers take the partygoers hostage before contacting their mother to explain their dilemma. Willing to...

But when the brothers get home, they find that all their stuff is gone and Mother is nowhere to be found: She lost the house months ago in a foreclosure. The new owners, Beth (King) and Daniel Sohapi (Grillo), and their guests, gathered for an ill-timed birthday party, become the brothers’ unwitting hostages. Not long after, Mother arrives, along with the boys’ sister Lydia (Woll), and it soon becomes clear that Mother will do absolutely anything to protect her children.

It's become a Dread Central tradition to close out our Comic-Con work week with the "Supernatural" panel. Few sessions are as funny, informative, and entertaining year after year. And 2010 was no exception. All the tidbits and mini-spoilers Kripke and crew revealed can be found here, along with a description of the clip that was shown from Episode 4 of the upcoming Season 6, "Weekend at Bobby's", directed by Jensen Ackles.
Instead of making the audience wait until the end of the panel for the really good stuff, "Supernatural" always starts things off with video, in this case the aforesaid "Weekend at Bobby's" sneak peek, which Ackles introduced. Even though it's not the season opener, they shot it first to give him time for prep and so he can then return to straight acting throughout the rest of the episodes. Here's the description of a scene between Bobby Singer and the demon/angel Crowley,...

Darren Bousman knows all about torturing folks. I mean, come on, after three Saw sequels how could you not become adept at it? His latest casualty? The sultry Jaime King who recently starting blogging about her on-set experiences while making Mother's Day.
From her blog for The La Times:
"I knew filming this movie was going to be interesting from the start. I just got my appendix taken out 2 1/2 weeks ago and hey, I’m not method, but my character is pretty traumatized after the loss of her child so I thought, “Why not? I will use this pain for my acting because that is what actors do, right?" But, of course I promised I would take it easy and have a stunt double.
Cut to: Last night, exterior, dusk. Beth (my character) runs out of her house, chased by a gun-wielding psychopath, begging her neighbors to help. The neighbors,...
