Larry King has hit back at claims that he groped singer and actor Eddie Fisher’s ex-wife, Terry Richard, on two separate occasions in the early aughts. Earlier this week, Richard told Daily Mail TV that King groped her on two different occasions, both at baseball awards dinners held at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.

Daily Mail TV reports that Richard “said in the first incident, while posing together for a photo, King slid his hand down her backless dress and rested his fingers in between her butt cheeks…Richard claims the second time was also while they were taking a photo together, and King, now 84, squeezed her butt so hard that it left a large bruise.”

Nnamdi Asomugha has experience with rabid crowds, armchair critics, and the pressure of performing under an intense national spotlight. He did just wrap up his first opening weekend at Sundance, after all. (Oh, and he also played for 10 years in the National Football League.)

The former cornerback shines in Matt Ruskin’s debut film “Crown Heights,” which follows the true story of Collin Warner and Carl King, two friends bonded by decades of friendship in the face of false imprisonment. Asomugha plays King, a New York City process server who spent the better part of 20 years trying to exonerate Warner (Lakeith Stanfield) after the latter was framed for a murder he didn’t commit.

Even amidst a stellar ensemble, which also features Stanfield, Bill Camp and Brian Tyree Henry, the film really comes alive when Asomugha is the main focus.

Amazon Studios has purchased the worldwide rights to the drama “Crown Heights,” which premiered Monday in the Sundance Film Festival’s U.S. Dramatic Competition section. The film sold for more than $2 million, Variety reports.

Writer-director Matt Ruskin produced the film with Asomugha and Natalie Galazka.

“Crown Heights” marks Amazon’s fifth Sundance acquisition this year. The company purchased two documentaries — the Grateful Dead film “Long Strange Trip” and the Isis doc “City of Ghosts” — and two dramatic comedies, Michael Showalter’s “The Big Sick” and Gillian Robespierre’s “Landline.

Amazon is moving into Crown Heights, acquiring the title after its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The streaming service nabbed the film for just over $2 million. The film will receive a theatrical release.

Crown Heights, based on a 2005 This American Life episode, follows the story of best friends Colin Warner and Carl King, when Warner is wrongfully convicted of murder and King, despite having no investigative or judicial experience, dedicates himself to proving his innocence.

Stephen King’s 1975 novel Salem’s Lot began life as an unpublished short story (“Jerusalem’s Lot”) while Mr. King was still in college. When he decided to expand it into a novel he posed the question as to what would happen if Count Dracula were to come back in 20th Century America, and his wife Tabitha joked that he would probably get run over by a cab in New York City. It was originally titled Second Coming, however it was changed at the urging of Mrs. King because it sounded like a “bad sex story” (she’s was right, and had a dirty mind to boot!). The 439-page book was then made into an effective TV-movie four years later, premiering in two parts on both November 17 and November 24 on CBS. TV-movies are a completely different animal than theatrical films as they are often shot in a much quicker fashion.

The Sundance Film Festival has long been a proving ground for brand new talents and stars-in-the-making looking to catapult their career into the big leagues, and this year’s edition of the lauded fest looks to be no different. From actors to filmmakers, we’ve targeted a batch of up-and-coming talents who are set to make it big at this year’s festival. There may be a familiar face or two among their ranks, but we’re betting that, post-Sundance, they’re going to be just about everywhere from now on.

Entering its 33rd year, Sundance Film Festival has unveiled its official competition and Next line-ups for the 2017 edition of the festival. At first glance, initial highlights include Alex Ross Perry’s Queen of Earth follow-up Golden Exits and two David Lowery projects (his small-budget A Ghost Story starring Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara as well as The Yellow Birds, which he co-wrote).

There’s also Beach Rats, the latest film from It Felt Like Love director Eliza Hittman, Obvious Child director Gillian Robespierre‘s Landline, and Blue Ruin and Green Room star Macon Blair‘s directorial debut I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore.

Medical examiners in Las Vegas say there's no evidence late blues legend B.B. King was poisoned before his death, the AP reports. The conclusion comes roughly a month and a half after two of King's daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, kicked off a homicide investigation, alleging that two of their father's closest aides colluded in a foul-play murder plot. The official cause of death is Alzheimer's disease, in conjunction with such physical conditions as heart failure and type 2 diabetes, according to autopsy findings made public via news reports Monday. "At this point, we can say with confidence that Mr. King died of natural causes," the coroner said in a statement released to NBC News. "Our condolences go out to the family and many friends of Mr. King, and we hope this determination brings them some measure of closure." It has been a week and a bit now since I finished Stephen King’s latest and something happened: I laid down in bed ready to let sleep take me and the events of the novel came back to me, imagery and ideas so powerful that it wouldn’t let me go. In 2013, Gaye’s children, the heirs to his estate, filed suit against Thicke and Williams regarding their hit song, “Blurred Lines,” which they claim was copied from Gaye’s 1977 “Got To Give It Up.” Following a series of depositions, in which Thicke admitted he barely contributed to the writing of the song, U.S. District Court Judge John Kronstadt ruled that there was enough evidence to show that “elements of ‘Blurred Lines’ may be substantially similar to protected, original elements of ‘Got to Give It Up.’”

Kronstadt’s ruling allows the lawsuit to move forward and a court date has been set for Feb. 10, 2015.

Tonight's premiere show, kicked off with current Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman's, intro footage. From there, she talked with host, Chris Harrison, about the type of dude she hopes to find before meeting all of them when they rolled up in the limo. Some of them offered up silly gimmicks as usual and some them seemed ,at least, half sane. After a break, they showed footage of Andi, mingling with the fellas. Everything seemed to be going well. Then at one point, former Emily Maynard Bachelorette contestant ,Chris Bukowski, showed up, wanting to vy for Andi's affections, but she turned him down, saying it wouldn't be fair to the rest of the guys. However, Chris refused to leave when Chris Harrison told him the bad news. However, Chris did eventually go on his merry, little way. At one point, Andi, decided to give Nick V the "first impression" rose just before the Rose ceremony.

St. Louis (AP) — Blues guitarist B.B. King wants his St. Louis fans to give him another chance after an erratic performance led to a stream of audience catcalls and early departures. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer issued a public apology on Tuesday for what his publicists called "a bad night for one of America's living blues legends." The written statement says King, 88, and his band had returned from a four-week break before the April 4 show at the Peabody Opera House. Things could have been much worse at a suburban Pittsburgh high school had it not been for the heroic actions of assistant principal Sam King, officials and students say. Stephen King once referred to his works as the literary equivalent of a Big Mac and fries - or words to that effect - and in his author's notes of this particular novel - he says when he sits down to write a story, he sets out first and foremost to tell a kickass story.

So with keeping these points in mind, Mr. King pretty much succeeds in telling an entertaining story that manages to be fairly engaging and satisfying.

What people need to realize first before cracking open this book is that it's not going to live up to your hype and dreams - forget it, jump off that hype train - because you're only going to come away dissatisfied that it didn't meet any of your possibly wild expectations. Recently we had the opportunity to sit down for a brief chat with renowned actress Annabeth Gish (The X-Files, Brotherhood) to discuss her role in Sony’s forthcoming DVD release Stephen King’s Bag of Bones, a four-hour miniseries based on Stephen King’s iconic bestselling supernatural thriller which debuts on DVD on Monday August 19th, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Aaron Mk: The original Stephen King novel Bag of Bones won the Bram Stoker award for best novel in 1998, and has since gone on to record sales, how much pressure was the crew under to do the source material justice?

Annabeth Gish: I don’t think it was really the crew’s responsibility for that, I think it was more Mick [Garris] and the writing team who felt that pressure. But the script was so tight once we went to production, that [it was the crew's goal] to be faithful to what we saw on the script pages.

If you caught last Monday night’s terrific series premiere of Under the Dome, you were not alone; all reports indicate that it had a boffo opening night. It was a great set-up episode, with several storylines given their initial push into this very interesting scenario. I am totally in.

Stephen King's teleplays for his many mini-series (usually three to six episodes) have ranged from superb ("Storm of the Century," "The Shining") to good ("It," "The Stand") to silly but fun ("The Langoliers"). However, his work has never been turned into a full-season TV series until now. And if he and the other writers can sustain the level of intrigue and character development of the pilot episode, they may have a hit on their hands.

Set in the present day, the first half of the pilot introduces us to our primary characters, who are either denizens of or passing through Chester's Mill, a small town in Anywhere, U.S.A. the episode opens with one man burying another, clearly surreptitiously. We learn that the burier is nicknamed "Barbie," and was hoping to do his business and leave quickly. We next see high school grad sweethearts Junior (that's his name) and Angie having sex.
