Actress Julie Kingdon was born in Washington (town), Iowa as Mary
Pethybridge. She graduated from Central High School in Kansas City,
Missouri and was a classmate of Jean Harlow at Miss Barton's School for
Girls. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Art and was in
stock - the Provincetown Playhouse in Greenwich Village - and roadshow
companies prior to appearing in a number of Broadway shows, including
"These Days" with Katharine Hepburn.
