Richard Pryor did more than reinvent comedy, he changed culture, and not only in America. The five-time Grammy Award-winner, actor, writer, director, and standup icon underwent a series of self-discoveries which he revealed to audiences from the inside out long before co-writing Blazing Saddles, and conquering every aspect of showbiz. He did it without compromise. Listeners can study the growing genius of his most transformative years, 1968 through 1973, on newly remastered vinyl reissues of Pryor’s early live albums released through Stand Up! Records along with Omnivore Records and Pryor’s production company Indigo. In order to win, an ambitious brother embraces the darkness in this fan film based on "League of Legends."

The three-part "Shadowfall" stars Isky Fay and David Cheung as Shen and Zed, shedding some light on the backstory of the two martial artists, as the ambitious and imatient Zed (Cheung) embraces his shadow powers in order to surpass his talented sibling. All three parts of "Shadowfall" made their debut today on Machinima Realm.

"Shadowfall" joins "League of Legends: Blind Ambition," another short which made its premiere today from the brothers at K&K Productions. That mini-movie took a look at the origins of blind monk Lee Sin as he doled out some judicious butt-kicking against scarred assassin Katarina. The shorts, based on Riot Games' "League of Legends" are from filmmakers Harry and George Kirby.

I don’t know much about “DragonBall Z”. There was that movie with Chow Yun Fat a few years back that a lot of people really, really hated. I mean, really really hated. I’ve never seen so much hate for a movie since the film “Please Hate Us and We’ll Give You Money: The Movie” came out about two decades ago. I did play a “DragonBall Z” game once on the PS3 that was kind of fun, if a tad repetitive. Like most of you reading this now, UK brothers Harry and George Kirby (aka K&K Productions) were not very pleased with the live-action “Dragonball” movie that Fox turned out a few years back. Realizing that they could probably do a much better job, the brothers have started raising funds to produce and shoot a 4-5 minute trailer that they promise will be “packed full of the greatest moments and favourite characters from the Saiyan Saga”. The hope, of course, is to garner enough interest to fund a full-length version, perhaps even with studio support, similar to what happened with Kevin Tancharoen’s “Mortal Kombat: Legacy”. Tancharoen funded his own “Mortal Kombat” short film that set the Interwebs on fire and convinced Warner Bros. to fully back a live-action web series. The studio then handed Tancharoen the reins over to an honest-to-goodness feature-length reboot of the franchise. So yes, it can work.

If there has ever been a likeable bus driver in New York, it’s Ralph Kramden of The Honeymooners. I’m a little young to remember this show (okay, a lot young – my parents were kids when it originally aired), but it’s definitely an agreeable oldies sitcom, even if it is in black and white.

In the 1970s, Jackie Gleason, Audrey Meadows, Art Carney and Jane Kean came together again to reprise their roles in The Honeymooners and film four specials for the show, each an hour long and in Color! Crazy, right? Two of the four specials are being released this week.

The first special is “Second Honeymoon.” In this episode, Ralph Kramden (Gleason) decides to do something really special for his 25th wedding anniversary and remarry his wife, Alice (Meadows). Hijinks ensue when Ralph believes he’s discovered that Alice is pregnant and neighbor/close pal Ed Norton...
