Scott Klein
Scott Klein is a multi award-winning Los Angeles colorist whose credits and reputation span over thirty years. He has extensive credits in prime-time scripted episodic television dramas, as well as numerous commercial, music video, feature film, and non-scripted credits. Scott has been instrumental in creating the look of many of the industry's most memorable television shows. (including The Sopranos, Miami Vice, Nash Bridges, Jag, From The Earth To The Moon, Harsh Realm, Dark Angel, Deadwood, Entourage, Vampire Diaries, Ray Donavan, True Blood, Bosch, Empire, Power Book Force, Outer Banks, and The Runarounds.) As a result of his contributions to the craft he has been recognized with an associate membership in The American Society of Cinematographers. A Philadelphia native, Scott worked from a young age as a still-photography assistant, as also as a guitar player. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston and and worked in the music business before moving to Los Angeles and starting in the film business. From Scott: "Color-correction is an amazing collaborative process. It gives the artist an opportunity to really connect with the filmmakers through a language of mood and imagery, and create a strong palette of audience responses. These provide continuity, tone and rhythm to the story, It's such a great career, with different personalities and creative challenges everyday! I love this process, and I'm thrilled to have a chance to grow my vocabulary, as well as mentor developing talent in the craft.
