Thanksgiving is the most traditional national holiday celebrated in the United States, and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving does justice to the special date in a memorable TV holiday special. Following A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was the third holiday special celebrated by the Peanuts gang. Created by Charles M. Schultz, the Peanuts started out as a comic strip series centered around Charlie Brown's social circle, which included iconic characters such as Lucy van Pelt, Linus, and most notoriously, Charlie Brown's high-spirited dog Snoopy.

In A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown starts to lose his mind on Thanksgiving when Peppermint Patty invites herself and some friends to a traditional turkey dinner. Counting on Linus and Sally to help put together the party and Snoopy as the head chef, it soon becomes clear an unconventional Thanksgiving is about to unfold.
