'Dune' Star's Must Watch Movie With a Harry Potter Villain Finds a Free Streaming Home
Image
While The Bear has brought audiences’ attention to culinary arts, there have been movies that celebrate the essence of being a chef. From Ratatouille, Chef, Burnt, No Reservations, to Big Night, each movie tells us something new about the profession, creative process and restaurant management, and the people who give us good times. But Mark Mylod’s The Chef is a whole different story and now it has a free streaming home.

Per ComicBook, The Menu starring Ana Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes is now streaming on Tubi. The movie follows a young couple who love food, traveling to a remote island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where a renowned chef with an elaborate tasting menu reveals disturbing intentions beneath a flawless exterior. From exposing his guests to a chef killing himself, to a deadly cat and mouse chase, this black comedy horror has twists and turns that you’ll never see coming.

10 Best Sebastian Stan Movies & TV Shows (That Aren’t in the MCU), Ranked
Image
Among the most popular stars working in the entertainment industry, Sebastian Stan has had huge success as an actor who can shine in both movies and television, as well as deliver wonderful performances that showcase the range of this performer. Moreover, many comic book fans will assuredly recognize this artist thanks to his turn as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the MCU, although, despite garnering praise for the role, Sebastian Stan has always been making great works of art outside the MCU.

Specifically, the actor’s eclectic career reveals an artist who not only tries to make great television shows but also wants to redefine the landscape of cinema with each new film project. At the same time, Sebastian Stan has proven time and again why he should be recognized as more than a blockbuster star and instead should be viewed as a committed actor who excels at any genre or filmmaking scale.

Channing Tatum's Logan Lucky Is Completely Underrated
Image
Quick Links What Happens in Logan Lucky? Logan Lucky Is Expertly Made, Wonderfully Cast, and Riotously Funny Logan Lucky Is One of Soderberghs Best

Almost four decades into his career, Steven Soderbergh still somehow keeps finding new ways to surprise us. As maybe the most prolific independent filmmaker of his generation, his movies can never be mistaken for studio rush jobs. While not every work of his is a hit, his track record remains remarkably consistent after all this time. Among his many classics, his debut, Sex, Lies and Videotape remains an intimate and thoughtful gem, Out of Sight is a wildly entertaining ride, and he reinvented the heist film for a new generation with his wonderful Oceans Eleven trilogy.

Yet for as massive a filmography as Soderbergh has, arguably one of his best is 2017s Logan Lucky, his return to filmmaking after a brief retirement. Sadly, it also stands...

Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig & Adam Driver's Logan Lucky is Streaming Success on Netflix
Image
Steven Soderbergh's 2017 heist comedy Logan Lucky has found a new life on Netflix. Despite a stellar cast and critical praise, the film under performed at the box office, bringing in only $48 million against a $29 million budget. Logan Lucky, led by Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, and Daniel Craig, landed on Netflix earlier this month and quickly made its way onto the streamer's Top Ten list, indicating that the hidden gem may have just needed a different platform.

Ocean's trilogy filmmaker Soderbergh directs Logan Lucky, but Logan Lucky and the Ocean's films have very little in common except the heist part. Where Ocean's is set in a world with glamorous characters and intricate heists, Logan Lucky features rural, working-class people who lack thorough planning in their robbery efforts. The latter follows the story of two brothers, Jimmy (Tatum) and Clyde Logan (Driver), and their sister Mellie (Riley Keough...

The Menu: Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Fiennes thriller gets digital and Blu-ray release in January
Image
Searchlight Pictures gave their darkly comedic psychological thriller The Menu a theatrical release last month (you can read our review Here and watch our interview with stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult Here), and it has been more successful than I would have expected it to be. It has earned more than 59 million at the worldwide box office. And next month, it’s heading into viewers’ homes. The Menu will be receiving a digital release on January 3rd, with a Blu-ray release to follow on January 17th.

Scripted by Will Tracy (Last Week with John Oliver) and Seth Reiss (Late Night with Seth Meyers), The Menu is set

in the world of eccentric culinary culture, centering on a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu, with some shocking surprises.

The Menu's Writers Wanted Ralph Fiennes To Combine His Grand Budapest Hotel And Schindler's List Skills [Exclusive]
Image
Recently, /Film's own Jack Giroux had the opportunity to talk about "The Menu" with the movie's screenwriters, Will Tracy and Seth Reiss. The pair had previously mentioned that they envisioned Ralph Fiennes in the role of Julian Slowik. In "The Menu," Julian is the celebrity chef whose multi-course, theatrically-presented, ultra-expensive meal will — on this particular night — involve multiple human deaths. The chef, in his hermetic kitchen cloister, takes the conceptual elements of his cooking a few steps too far and drives himself mad with notions of class, life, death, and how they all relate to meal prep.

Julian is calm and distressingly frank when discussing the deaths of his clientele, and Fiennes' terrifyingly soft-spoken performance is a memorable one. Fiennes, of course, has a long and varied career, appearing in intense independent films, mainstream effect-based blockbusters, and large-scale Hollywood dramas. Of the many notable characters Fiennes has played, writers Tracy...
