Brenda Kovrig graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design with her award winning narrative short THE NEVERMIND (Toronto International Film Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival). Her first documentary RELATIVITY was produced for CBC's Rough Cuts and has screened in film festivals across North America (winning the Golden Sheaf Award for Best Point of View Documentary in Yorkton, and nominated for the Writers Guild of Canada award for Best Documentary Script). Among her other projects, Brenda directed the short musical narrative DO I COME ON TOO STRONG? for Bravo! (winning the Golden Sheaf Award for Best Comedy at the Yorkton Film Festival and premiering at Palm Springs ShortFest and the Vancouver International Film Festival). She has worked as a director, writer or story editor for Primitive Entertainment, PTV Productions, Marble Media, Prime Vista Television, Cineflix Productions, Cream Productions, Proper Television, Bell Media, and Saloon Media. She recently finished her arts council funded short film YOU, FOREVER which premiered at the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival and is also an official selection at the the Milan Shorts Film Festival, Oregon Shorts Film Festival, The Toronto Shorts Film Festival and the Golden State Film Festivals in Los Angeles. YOU, FOREVER won Best Short Documentary at the MidWest WeirdFest and at the New York Science Fiction Film Festival, and won Best International Film at the Austin Short Film Festival
