Marius Kurkinsky (birth name - Ivaylo Vasilev Stoyanov ) is a Bulgarian actor and director. He was born on October 15, 1969 in Novi Pazar, Bulgaria. At age 12 he entered the children's theater studio at the Drama Theatre - Varna, and then - in the Theater "Cricket", leaded by brothers Raykovi. He graduated "Acting for Theatre" in the class of Professor Krikor Azaryan at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1993, and Filmmaking" in the class of Professor Georgi Djulgerov in 1995. He has received numerous awards for her acting and staging skills. His performances have toured successfully abroad. He is the author of the feature film "Diary of a Madman" on the eponymous novel by Nikolai Gogol (1996). He published music album "Love War" (1997, written by a group of "Tibetan Hearts". In March 2008, he issued his mono drama "Concussion" on DVD. His mono performances: Don Juan by Moliere; Youth Theatre (February 12, 1993); Song of Solomon (in biblical texts), National Palace of Culture (1993); Lady with the Dog by Chekhov, National Palace of Culture (1996); Gospel According to Matthew, the "Concept of theater" (October 14, 1997); Man Himself by Andrei Platonov, the "Concept of theater" (February 19, 1999); The Dream of "The World in 10½ Chapters' by Julian Barnes, Drama Theater Plovdiv (May 9, 2001); Concussion Stories in "Shock", "Fear" and "Twisted World" by Nikolay Haitov, Drama Theater Plovdiv (November 1, 2006); Bulgarian stories on works of Angel Karaliychev, folk tales and legends, Drama Theater Plovdiv (November 5, 2010). He directed following Plays: Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, Satire Theater (December 10, 1997); Blue Bird by Maurice Maeterlinck, Academic Theater in National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria (October 20, 1998); The Engagement by Maurice Maeterlinck, co-produced by Satire Theater and Academic Theater in National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria (March 23, 2000); The Our Sins, based on the stories by Chekhov, Theatre "Inversion" (June 26, 2000); The Art of Comedy by Edward de Filippo, DramaTheater Plovdiv (10 March 2001); King Stag by Carlo Gozzi, National Theatre (December 14, 2001); Small Comedies by Chekhov, Drama Theater Plovdiv (September 7, 2002); Mother in law by Anton Strashimirov, DramaTheater Plovdiv (26 November 2003); Golemanov by St. Kostov, Theater "Off the Channel" in 2004; Fisherman and His Soul by Oscar Wilde, Theatre 199 (2005); With Love not to be Trifled by Alfred de Musset, National Theatre, 2005; Women's Kingdom by St. Kostov, Theater "Off the Channel" in 2005; Bloody Wedding by Federico Garcia Lorca, Drama Theater Plovdiv (September 11, 2006); Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare, State Theatre of Satire (April 1, 2008); The Magnificent Cuckold of Fernand Crommelynck, Theater "Off the Channel" (October 14, 2008); Women in the National Assembly by Aristophanes, State Theatre of Satire (October 11, 2009); Balkan Syndrome by Stanislav Stratiev, Theater "Off the Channel" (October 2, 2010).
