Halloween Poster Teases the Ultimate Horror Showdown, New Trailer Coming Tomorrow
John Carpenter
For horror fans, every day is Halloween during the month of October. This year, however, will be one for the books. We're just about 6 weeks shy from the premiere of Blumhouse's Halloween, slated to slash into Us theaters on October 19th. It's being billed as a direct sequel to John Carpenter's original Halloween (released in 1978) and will see Laurie Strode (played by Jamie Lee Curtis) reunited with original Michael Myers actor Nick Castle for a battle royale 40 years in the making. Today, producers are whetting our collective appetites with a new poster, one that brings Laurie Strode face-to-face with "The Shape"!

Face your fate. New trailer tomorrow. Same conflict today. 10/19/2018 @halloweenmovie#faceyourfatepic.twitter.com/Spj3smwPTp

Utah resident Richard Holdman started small for his holiday decorations. "My wife said, ‘Let's put up some Christmas lights on the house.' So I put up some and every year, it gets more and more and pretty soon it turned into this," he told his local CBS news station. Holdman has used his miraculous displays for the past four years to raise money for the Make-a-Wish foundation. Cars line up along the Holdman's street, and those in the giving spirit drop money into donation boxes to spread joy and help raise thousands of dollars for the foundation. In 2007, Holdman's synchronized decorations featuring Yule's "Amazing Grace" made the rounds, even reaching The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
