Anne Marie La Traverse is a multiple-award-winning Canadian independent producer who has amassed an extensive list of credits during her career in television. Her most recent production, Flashpoint, garnered record-breaking ratings and critical success domestically and internationally. It was the first Canadian-developed series to find an American network home (CBS), and it opened the door to a new wave of Canadian productions on American network television. A bilingual native of Montréal, Anne Marie obtained her law degree at Osgoode Hall and practiced law for four years before joining Atlantis Films in 1991. Over the course of the following 12 years at Alliance Atlantis, Anne Marie developed and produced over 100 hours of award-winning big-budget movies and series, including co-productions with international broadcasters and partners. In 2003, Anne Marie founded her own production company, Pink Sky Entertainment. Under the Pink Sky banner, Anne Marie has produced a number of television movies, two of which were awarded Geminis in 2004 (Hunt for Justice: The Louise Arbour Story) and 2005 (Tripping The Wire) and five seasons (75 episodes) of Flashpoint, awarded best Canadian series in 2009 and 2103. In addition to the many Gemini and Canadian Screen Awards she has been awarded, Anne Marie was named Playback's producer of the year (2008) and is the recipient of the Women in Film and Television Crystal Award for Outstanding Achievement (2012).
