Over thirty years ago, the two great ones set off on a most excellent adventure through history. A few years later they embarked on a most bogus journey to Hell. Now, they must face the music and live up to their destiny as The Wyld Stallyns return for one last ride through the circuits of time. Bill S. Preston Esquire and Ted 'Theodore' Logan are back in the time traveling phone booth for Bill & Ted Face the Music, which hits select theaters and Drive-ins starting this Friday. The comedy sequel will also be getting a simultaneous release on PVOD.
Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are back for one final mission, one that will repair the space time continuum and save the universe as we know it. The dynamic duo only have 72 minutes to write the song that has eluded them their entire lives. But they're not alone. This time, Bill...

Long in the making sequels have been having a bit of a moment in Hollywood over the last handful of years. Properties long since thought dormant have come back to life, sometimes to great success. Now, Bill & Ted Face the Music hopes to be the latest IP to do so, with this newest effort nearly 30 years after Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (not to mention over three decades since the initial outing in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure). The franchise always leaned on creativity, but that’s in short supply here. This likely conclusion to the misadventures of the title character best friends is fan service and fan service alone, but everyone seems to know that the joke has more than worn thin. Hitting screens today, it’s a huge disappointment. The movie is the second sequel and third installment in the Bill & Ted series. Once upon a time, William “Bill” S.

After nearly three decades away from the silver screen, The Wild Stallyns are finally coming back for more. Bill & Ted Face the Music, which brings back both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, is set to arrive next week. Though the plan was originally to give the movie a robust theatrical release, plans have changed in light of current events. Instead, it will play in what theaters are available, in addition to being offered as a premium VOD title. Pre-orders have gone live for the movie and now we know how much it will cost to watch it from the comfort of home.
Most retailers have Bill & Ted Face the Music listed for $24.99. This is slightly above what the majority of premium VOD rental titles have gone for thus far in the past handful of months. Other would-be theatrical releases like Trolls World Tour were priced at $19.99 for a 48-hour rental.

The folks at Orion Pictures have released a most excellent new clip from Bill & Ted Face the Music. The long-awaited sequel, which brings back Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter as the iconic cinematic duo, is finally hitting theaters next week. But most importantly, this clip features a major connection to the original movies having to do with Geroge Carlin's Rufus.
In the clip, Kristen Schaal arrives as a visitor from the future named Katy. Bill and Ted look on in confusion, wondering if they know who this person is. It is then revealed that she is the daughter of Rufus, who was a big part of the previous two movies. Sadly, George Carlin passed away and couldn't return for this new adventure. However, the filmmakers are honoring his legacy, as we can see in the clip. Additionally, the footage gives us a better sense of the duo's daughters, played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine.

Weezer has released a new song and music video from the Bill & Ted Face the Music soundtrack. The song, titled Beginning Of The End (Wyld Stallyns Edit) is going to be part of the very musical return of Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves as Bill and Ted for the first time in nearly three decades. Not only will Weezer fans likely be happy with the new song, but the video comes with a brief glimpse at what's in store later this month.
The video sees Weezer playing the song with footage from the movie spliced in. About 45 seconds in things get a bit more dramatic, which is when the first chorus hits. A curtain drops. Rivers Cuomo is having wind blown in his hair. The band is very much having fun with it. The song is big and catchy. It is very much a late-era Weezer song that seems...

Weezer’s latest music video sees them auditioning to be the opening act for none other than Wyld Stallyns, the band fronted by Bill S. Preston and Ted Theodore Logan in “Bill & Ted Face the Music.”
Their new song “Beginning of the End” is just one track on a soundtrack album in support of the film, which also features songs by Cold War Kids, Mastodon, Fidlar, Lamb of God and a few originals by Wyld Stallyns themselves.
Weezer’s track, which you can hear above, is about overcoming insecurity and taking the stage even though you’re “so scared,” and it fits well with the themes of “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” which grapples with the two heroes still working to fulfill their rock and roll destiny even decades after they went on their excellent adventure and bogus journey.

The latest Bill & Ted Face the Music featurette takes fans behind-the-scenes of the long-awaited sequel. It celebrates the hilarious and heartfelt bond between Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter and the new generation of friendship between Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine. The new featurette was released after it was officially announced that the release date for the movie had been moved up one week. Bill & Ted Face the Music will be released on demand and in theaters on August 28th, 2020.
The Bill & Ted Face the Music featurette finds franchise creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon talking about the first time they met both Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves. As it turns out, the two actors auditioned together, and then apart, but Matheson and Solomon loved the energy that the original duo shared, so they were cast. A similar experience occurred when casting the daughters of our heroes for the long-awaited sequel.

During a most excellent panel discussion of Bill & Ted Face the Music on Saturday (July 25) at Comic-Con@Home, it came to light that actors Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving, who play the daughters of the title dudes, had never seen the first two movies in the series before.
While Lundy-Paine did not delve too deeply into why they had never checked out the original Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) or Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the Australian-born Weaving — who broke out last year with American audiences in the horror comedy Ready or Not — chalked this heinous gap in her cinematic knowledge up to when and where she was born.
“I unfortunately was born in 1992, so it was before my time,” she said during the Kevin Smith-moderated talk (see below), which also featured Keanu Reeves (Ted), Alex Winter (Bill), William Sadler (Death), director Dean Parisot plus writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson.

Bill & Ted Face the Music has made yet another proverbial air-guitar chord change to avoid a most bogus journey to theaters amidst surging Covid-19 cases.
Orion Pictures is officially setting the nearly 30-years-awaited Bill & Ted threequel for a premium VOD and streaming release that will be made available on September 1. Additionally, the simultaneous release date will see the film hit theaters internationally via independent distributors, specifically for countries in which theaters have started to reopen. The occasion of the VOD move is being heralded with a brand-new trailer, which you can catch just below.
The new Face the Music trailer is the most revelatory one yet, providing a solid breakdown of the plot, and showcases some of the newcomer cast members such as Kid Cudi, Jillian Bell and Kristen Schaal, the latter of whom has seemingly inherited the duty of the late George Carlin’s Rufus of being an exposition-armed handler from the future.

Set for release in September, here’s a new poster and trailer for the Third film in the Bill and Ted franchise, Bill & Ted Face the Music – a much, much, much, awaited sequel that fans, myself included, have been clamouring for since Bogus Journey back in 1991!
The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

It’s been 29 years since we last saw Bill S. Preston and Ted Theodore Logan, but now they’re back in this most excellent new trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music. And judging by what we see here, the Wyld Stallyns have still got the goods.
In 2020, we find the now middle-aged pair attending couples therapy… as a couple of couples. It seems that despite saving the world with rock and roll, they’re still regular losers in the present, but that all changes when a messenger appears from the future. She explains that the pair have just 78 minutes to write a song that’ll save all life in the universe. That’s not much time, so out comes the time-travelling phone box and cue some (excellent) time-travellin’ adventures that head into alternate dimensions.
Fans of the franchise will surely get a kick out of seeing some old favorites return,...

It’s a tough time for high school graduates, whose traditional cap and gown ceremonies have turned mostly virtual because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
But San Dimas High School’s virtual ceremony was brightened by an appearance from the school’s most famous alumni: Bill Preston and Ted Logan, aka Keanu Reeves (Ted) and Alex Winter (Bill), who showed up on Zoom to offer some brief inspiration to the Class of 2020.
The time travelers and air guitar experts, who appeared in the 1989 film Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and its sequels, appeared in character for their cameo.
“We know that it’s a tough time right now and that you’re having to do this virtual graduation,” Winter said. “We wanna wish you the best of luck moving forward.”
“Well done,” added Reeves.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is now 6 months away from hitting theaters. In celebration, the highly anticipated sequel's social media accounts have posted a throwback teaser. Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) is directing the film from a script written by original franchise screenwriters Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter also awesomely reprised their roles in the film. Here’s the synopsis that was released for the movie:

Legendary comedian George Carlin played a big role in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. He took on the role of Rufus, a dude who traveled back in time in order to make sure that Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) succeeded in changing the world through their music.

In light of all the recent revivals, Reeves is stepping into his late 1980's and early 1990's shoes in Bill & Ted Face the Music. The third film in the cult franchise is currently filming, so the on-set anecdotes are starting to spill out.
Keanu Reeves is returning to the role of Ted "Theodore" Logan, but on-set photos have him looking much more like a WWE wrestler than a fun-loving, time traveling dude. With shaved sideburns, combed back hair and thick beard, the Speed star is nearly unrecognizable.
