Mother's Deadly Son
Chris Lancey - Mr. Lancey is a veteran of the television and media industries. He serves as Chief Executive Officer for Creative Arts Entertainment Group ("CAEG") where he has been responsible for the over $250 million in production, development, and distribution worldwide of the more than 2,000 hours of original television programming and movies. Under Lancey's guidance CAEG is developing and producing scripted series and movies for the domestic and international marketplaces to include a consistent flow of movies to Lifetime and other A&E networks as well as other networks throughout the world. Under Mr. Lancey's guidance CAEG continues to invest in the production and development of programming targeting the worldwide demand for US produced network quality television series and movies. Previous to Creative Arts Entertainment Group Mr. Lancey served as CEO of the worldwide media and syndication powerhouse, Western International Syndication(WIS) at which time he led the buyout of WIS from the Fortune 400 parent, Interpublic Group of Companies (NYSE: IPG). As President of Western International Syndication Mr. Lancey led the company to record profits derived from Western's core business of developing, financing and producing original programming for worldwide syndication. He worked with many of the IPG advertisers to provide entertainment expertise in branded entertainment and brand integration for distribution on a worldwide basis. Mr. Lancey advised select IPG clients to include The Coca-Cola Company, General Motors, Intel, Home Depot, Disney and others within the blue chip IPG client base. In addition, Western's clients included, CBS, ABC, NBC and FOX as well as cable networks such as HBO, Showtime, VH-1, TNN, Syfy just to name a few. Notably Mr. Lancey was responsible for the on-going production, distribution and marketing success of television's most watched weekly music-comedy series the perennial, It's Showtime at the Apollo (356 hours), as well as producing, financing and distributing other well regarded television series and specials to include the highly rated, Conan: The Adventurer, VH-1's Behind the Music: Apollo, The Secret Files of J. Edgar Hoover, the award winning documentary Grid Iron Gangs which spawned the feature film under the same title starring the Rock...also, Magic Johnson's All-Star Slam n Jam, HBO's comedy hit series First & Ten for US syndication, as well as weekly action hours such as Starhunter featuring Michael Pare' and The Immortal starring Lorenzo Lamas, successful reality shows, stand-up comedy projects, sketch comedy vehicles and more. Prior to his time at WIS he worked on the sales and marketing team for, Group W Productions (now Viacom) who launched into television the, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, He-Man, She-Ra and others just to name a few. Most recently Mr. Lancey is writing, directing, and producing feature films and television movies and series for worldwide release in addition to his duties as CEO of CAEG.
