Directed by Dan Lantz, and written by Kristina Chadwick and Robert Lange, the film was shot on Chadwick and Lange’s farm in Pennsylvania.

Set on the Coxe Family Farm in rural Willis County, Farmer Sam (Bill Moseley) exacts his bloody revenge on unscrupulous local town-folk, including Sheriff Jubel (Kane Hodder) , who menace him and attempt to steal the farm that has been in his family for 200 years.

Hayride to Hell is a horror movie led by Bill Moseley and Kane Hodder, following a farmer seeking revenge on corrupt locals. The film was shot at an actual family farm and profits will support the farm's preservation. Farmer Sam is doing everything in his power to save the family farm. While that may not sound like the premise for a horror move, that's exactly what Hayride to Hell is. Exclusive: Los Angeles’ Dances with Films has announced the lineup for its 2021 film festival, setting Oscar nominees Paul Greengrass and Michael London as the speakers for its inaugural First Films series.

The Dances With Films festival, which had to go virtual in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, is returning for an in-person 24th edition at the Tcl Chinese Theatre, between August 26 and September 12. It kicks off on the 26th with an opening night carpet celebration at the Roosevelt Hotel.

In the trailer for Dan Lantz’s Bloodrunners, we learn that bootlegging is cool, and vampires are not. That is, vampires are cool in the sense that they’re the kind of chic, good-looking people so many of us aspire to be, but the whole “feasting on humans” bit is the one thing that crooked 1930s cop Jack Malone (Michael McFadden) won’t tolerate. Officer Malone (or is it Detective? We can’t see his shield in the trailer) will take cash in exchange for looking the other way on the booze running into his Prohibition-era town. But when corpses end up along the road and at the most popular speakeasy in town, he’s going to have to roll up his sleeves and do some enforcing.

The performances are too over the top which results in the zombies never coming across as genuinely frightening. No particular cast member stands out as being a likable presence to help carry the film.
