For Marvel especially, the comics are known for their massive stakes, including cosmic threats, reality-altering magic, and mythological gods and monsters. There's no shortage of characters in Marvel's canon who are canonically omnipotent, and plenty of Marvel characters who would absolutely destroy Superman. However, time and time again, these 15 Marvel characters prove themselves to have very few limits to their powers, whether they come from humble beginnings or have existed for thousands of years.

Academy Award-winning star Jamie Lee Curtis has shared her reaction to the possibility of starring in her own spinoff of FX’s The Bear series. For her Season 3 performance as Donna Berzatto, Curtis recently received another Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

During a recent interview with Variety, when asked about potentially starring in a Donna spinoff, Curtis immediately shut down the idea with a “Never, never” response, revealing her lack of interest in getting her own The Bear spinoff. While right-wing backlash against Hollywood’s efforts at diversity, equity and inclusion — or Dei — has led studios to back off of corporate efforts to advance the practice, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said he stands by his studio’s efforts over the past several years to increase representation on set and on the big screen with characters like Black Panther and Ms. Marvel, and suggested that the MCU won’t be pivoting away from that.

Academy Award-winning star Brie Larson has finally found her next major TV project in the form of an FX limited drama titled, Cry Wolf. The project will be based on the 2020 Danish family drama series of the same name by writer Kim Fupz Aakeson.

Per Variety, Larson has officially signed to play one of the leading roles in the upcoming English remake of Cry Wolf. In addition, she will also be serving as an executive producer. This marks Larson’s first TV project as the lead in nearly two years, after previously starring in Apple TV+’s acclaimed historical drama Lessons in Chemistry. For her performance as chemist and host Elizabeth Zott in the said miniseries, Larson received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

Brie Larson has officially signed on to star alongside Olivia Colman in a new FX psychological thriller limited series. Larson recently made a guest appearance in the FX series The Bear, but her most prominent TV credits include United States of Tara and Apple TV+'s Lessons in Chemistry, for which she earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Now, Larson has officially been signed on to star in FX's limited series, Cry Wolf (via Variety). This psychological thriller, confirmed in February 2025, is based on the 2020 Danish TV show Ulven Kommer. This English-language remake will star Larson as a mother whose children are removed by a social worker (Colman) after her daughter makes an accusation of abuse.

The show was first reported to be in the works in February with Colman attached in one of the lead roles. Sarah Treem serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner, with both Larson and Colman executive producing in addition to starring.

The series is described as psychological family thriller following “a social worker (Colman) and a mother (Larson) thrust into crisis when the mother’s teenage daughter alleges abuse, pushing both women to their limits as they navigate an impossible situation.”
