The 100 is coming to an end with its upcoming seventh season.
The CW is bringing the post-apocalyptic drama to a conclusion after renewing the Jason Rothberg-developed series for a seventh season earlier this year.
The announcement was made by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW at the TCA summer press tour. He said that Rothberg had always wanted to end The 100 after the seventh season and that has a number of ideas that he wants to develop. “We’ve been very good at listening to our showrunner creators about the right time to end our series,” he said.
Season 7 will consist of 16 episodes, bringing the series run to 100 episodes.
Based on the book series by Kass Morgan, The 100 is from Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Rothenberg and Leslie Morgenstein.

The Performer | Carrie Preston
The Show | Claws
The Episode | “Til Death” (Aug. 5, 2018)
The Performance | As kooky ex-con/nail technician Polly on TNT’s delightfully ridiculous crime dramedy, Preston has always been a reliable source of space-cadet comic relief. But the Emmy winner doubled our pleasure this week by also playing Polly’s long-lost twin “sister”… and poignantly revealing the damaged soul that Polly’s sunny smile is trying so hard to hide.
When Polly discovered her foster daughter Marnie had run away to reunite with her birth mom, it sent her into a full-blown panic attack, with Preston violently gasping for air.

Warn-kru: The following article spoils the events of The 100’s fifth season finale. Proceed with caution.
It was the ending no one saw coming — least of all Monty and Harper.
After narrowly defeating McCreary and escaping into space just in time to avoid being blown up along with the rest of the valley, Tuesday’s season finale of The 100 put Clarke & Co. into cryosleep, from which she and Bellamy awoke 125 years later (!) to meet Monty and Harper’s son Jordan (!!) and to discover a new planet (!!!). If you can’t tell from my liberal use of exclamation points, I’m still in shock.

Last season, The 100 dropped a bit in the ratings but other The CW shows saw much bigger losses. Will the show's numbers continue to fall or will they rise? Cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned.
The 100 follows a group of young people who are sent back to Earth nearly 100 years after a nuclear Armageddon destroyed civilization. The cast includes Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Isaiah Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, Ricky Whittle, and Richard Harmon.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- usually the next day, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.

Four episodes were provided prior to broadcast.
List in your head the amount of morally ambiguous, thematically murky, genre-bent television shows that are on the air right now. Add on top a dollop of teen angst and you’ll come to realize it’s a crowded field, one that’s only grown thanks to the attraction viewers have with every anti-hero at the center of each show. For such reasons, it’s easy to pass by something that’s worth your time given its vast similarities to everything that’s come before. The 100 could be boiled down to the story of a group of teens who run amok on a post-apocalyptic Earth and eventually must learn how to survive years before adulthood, but that would be a hilarious injustice.
The CW’s sci-fi series is many cobbled-together genre puzzle pieces, but it is no imitator. After two seasons of establishing the show’s world,...
