The classic coming-of-age ABC series The Wonder Years -- following the childhood of Fred Savage’s Kevin Arnold, as told from the perspective of his older self -- ended its run in 1993. The popular TV program also starred Danica McKellar as Kevin’s crush Winnie Cooper, and the actor looks back fondly at her experience on the show.

McKellar -- marking 32 years since the show concluded -- posted to Instagram, sharing some behind-the-scenes photos from the final day on set. In one photo, McKellar is shown standing with Josh Saviano, who played Kevin’s best friend Paul Pfeiffer, and Savage. Another photo showed the trio cutting a celebratory cake with Daniel Stern (who narrated the series as an adult Kevin) and others.

Shooting has begun in Northern New Jersey and will extend into mid-October. Gray is directing from a script he wrote with Jennifer B. White.

Written and directed by Aimee Long, the film explores how a Chinese-American police officer’s life unravels after he accidentally shoots an innocent Black man in Brooklyn, leading to protests and further violence.

The pic will receive a day-and-date theatrical release on January 21, 2022 in North America and January 24, 2022 in the UK.

ABC on Thursday announced that the cast of The Conners will perform Season 4’s Sept. 22 premiere live for both the East and West Coasts. This marks the veteran sitcom’s second live episode, following Season 2’s New Hampshire Primary-themed event.

This time around, viewers will have the opportunity to “guest-star” alongside their favorite blue-collar family.

The Conners are going live. The upcoming Season 4 premiere of the ABC comedy will be another live episode, the network announced Thursday.

The cast will perform versions of the episode for both the east and west coast broadcasts when the show returns on Wednesday, Sept. 22. ABC will also launch a “You Can Be a Conner” sweepstakes allowing fans to enter to be part of the episode via a live conversation about “how they deal with some of the same life issues that the Conners navigate on a daily basis.”

The winners will be called on-air by a member of the Conner family as part of the episode’s storyline.

Its new incarnation follows the Black middle-class Williams family in Montgomery, Al, during the turbulent late 1960s. Dean Williams (Elisha “E.J.” Williams) is the 12-year-old at the center of the coming of age story and Don Cheadle narrates as the voice of adult Dean.

The series will fold real moments from history from the era like the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. ABC's highly-anticipated reboot of The Wonder Years finally gets underway Wednesday, September 22 (8:30-9:00 p.m. Edt), and ABC has just announced the original cast will be staging a takeover event.

it was announced today that the network’s comedy lineup would pay homage to the original series with a larger-than-life takeover as fan-favorite original series cast members are set to appear throughout the evening on Wednesday, October. 13.

The exciting night of nostalgia will kick off with a guest appearance by Dan Lauria (Jack Arnold) on The Goldbergs.

Then, we'll get a nod to the iconic theme song originally covered by Joe Cocker in the all-new episode of The Wonder Years, airing that same night.

Don Cheadle has been tapped to narrate ABC’s “The Wonder Years” reboot pilot, TheWrap has confirmed.

The “Black Monday” star will voice the adult version of the show’s central character, Dean, as he reflects back on his younger self growing up in 1968. Elisha “Ej” Williams will star in the pilot as the 12-year-old version of Dean, alongside Saycon Sengbloh, Dulé Hill and Laura Kariuki.

Put into development last summer, “The Wonder Years” reboot is written and executive produced by “Dave” executive producer Saladin Patterson. Lee Daniels also executive produces alongside Marc Velez of Lee Daniels Entertainment.

Original series star Fred Savage will direct the reboot pilot and executive produce, with “The Wonder Years” co-creator Neal Marlens serving as a consultant on the project from 20th Television.

The question of how to convey characters speaking a language other than English in a fully English-language production is one that many a director of an exotically-set Hollywood production or lumpy Europudding has faced over the years. Here’s how ABC describes the character: “”Dean is an inquisitive and hopeful 12-year-old kid coming of age in a turbulent time. Sengbloh will play Lillian Williams, the mother of the family at the center of the show. The new version of the classic TV series will shift the focus to a Black middle class family in Alabama.

Aside from being together (tough right now for some), the matriarch or patriarch is thinking about how to keep the home crew safe from harm and secure in their toasty beds. Unlike the Garrity clan from this week’s other big release Greenland, the Sharpe’s isn’t dealing with a planet-killing comet. His fears arise from the possible onslaught of stealthy intruders in the dead of night. It’s too bad that he doesn’t recall the quote from one of the founding fathers (maybe more of a cool uncle), Ben Franklin: “Those who would give up essential Liberty to purchase a little temporary Safety deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”. Still, it probably didn’t occur to him that his fears could inspire his whole “unit” to succumb to a Bad Impulse.
