Producer of two of the Top 5 Brazilian films in domestic box offices, Paula Lavigne began her career early. In 1992, at 23 years old, she became an associate at Natasha Records, releasing and distributing Disney's soundtracks in Brazil, bringing to the Brazilian public big hits like The Lion King, which has won the Golden Disc.

Between the release of albums from Brazilian artists, such as Titãs, Adriana Calcanhoto and Caetano Veloso, and soundtracks of Brazilian and international movies, Paula produced the CD of the movie Tieta do Agreste, and earned the first Golden Disc for a Brazilian movie soundtrack. Her record company innovates the concept of movies soundtrack release, anticipating the CDs before the release of the movie itself.

Still as one of Natasha Records associates, Paula released artists like MV Bill, Daúde, Trio Forrozão, Domenico, Jorge Mautner, Mart'nália and the internationally well-known artist, Virgínia Rodrigues, one of the former president Bill Clinton's favorite singers. Continuing her work with soundtracks, she has nowadays the biggest soundtrack catalog of Brazilian movies.

At the same time, she accumulated experience in the music industry, running her record company and managing the career of the great artist Caetano Veloso - producing tours, video clips and the DVDs Caballero de Fina Estampa, in partnership with HBO Latin America and Universal Music, Noites do Norte and Prenda Minha, which has won the Grammy for best album - Paula began her successful work at movie production.

In 1995, her relationship with movie making began with Tieta do Agreste. Since then, Paula, along with Natasha Films, have been dedicating herself to movie production, with films like Orfeu, from director Cacá Diegues (1997), which has reached more than 1 million spectators, and Benjamim, second movie from director Monique Gardenberg, based upon the novel by Chico Buarque.

Besides that, Paula co-produced, together with Renata Almeida Magalhães, the first Andrucha Waddington's feature film, Gêmeas, distributed by Columbia Pictures in the year 2000.

In 2003, Paula and director Guel Arraes produced together one of the greatest hits of the Brazilian movie industry, Lisbela and the Prisioner (Lisbela e o Prisioneiro). The movie reached the impressive mark of 3.2 million spectators, and has got more than US$8 million in ticket sales. Lisbela and the Prisioner was adapted from the homonyms Osman Lins's play, a big hit that played for over 2 years in the theaters, also produced by Paula Lavigne.

At the beginning of 2005, again Paula Lavigne and Guel Arraes, now in partnership with director Jorge Furtado and Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre, released the movie My Uncle Killed a Guy (Meu Tio Matou um Cara).

In August of the same year, Paula, Conspiração Filmes and ZCL productions, released 2 Sons of Francisco (2 Filhos de Francisco - A História de Zezé di Camargo & Luciano), which has quickly become the greatest hit in Brazilian movies over the last 25 years and, at the end of the same year, she brought to the cinemas The Colonel and the Werefolf (O Coronel e o Lobisomem), a movie that has used special effects never before tried in Brazilian productions.
