Jean Paul Gaultier Replaced By Christophe Lemaire
June 11, 2010: Christophe Lemaire has been declared as the Artistic Director of Hermès, replacing Jean Paul Gaultier in a surprise move. It has stunned the fashion industry insiders.

In a statement, Hermès clarified the reason for Gaultier’s leaving. He said saying that Gaultier wanted to focus on his own brand. He has been leading the French luxury house’s women’s collection for seven years. The move has come as a surprise to the industry, with much talk regarding Hermès’ artistic demand gearing towards a likely transform.
