And it sounds like things will get pretty interesting as the validity of Molly's pregnancy gets brought into question by John, and more. In the new, 5th episode press release: John will question the validity of Molly's pregnancy. When the validity of Molly’s pregnancy comes into question, John will begin to doubt her mental state. In the meantime, Ethan is going to suffer a serious setback, and John and Julie are going to clash over how to care for him. Josh Malina guest stars as Doctor Beck who treats Molly. When the new shows for fall 2013 were being announced, it seemed all but guaranteed that The Blacklist would the standout from the bunch. It had a great lead in the form of James Spader and a solid episodic premise that just might border on intrigue, but instead, The Blacklist proved to be consistent at one thing among others: disappointment. That was true for the first half of the season, at least. Could this new year mean a better, more improved show? It doesn’t seem likely.

Following the attack on the FBI safehouse and Red’s (James Spader) ensuing abduction and escape, the FBI are simultaneously searching for Red, who has gone Mia, and attempting to identify the mole inside the FBI that helped Anslo Garrick kidnap him.

Sometimes when approaching a new episode of Smash, it’s difficult not to think, “Not this again.” It’s not entirely terrible (okay well it’s a lot terrible); there are a lot of redeeming factors about Smash, such as the cast, the original songs, the acting, the sets, the lighting, and the location (many times New York City feels as though it’s its own character). All these things we love about Smash make it increasingly frustrating to watch a talented group wasting away, mainly because of terrible writing. The audience who has left shouldn’t be condemned because Smash doesn’t even feel like it’s trying at all.
