    • Fred Liewehr was born on June 17, 1909 in Neutitschein, Austria-Hungary [now Novy Jicin, Czech Republic]. He was an actor, known for The Story of Vickie (1954), Der Engel mit der Posaune (1948) and Maria Theresia (1951). He was married to Martha Rohs. He died on July 19, 1993 in Vienna, Austria.

  • Austrian character actor, trained at Vienna's Max Reinhardt Seminar. From 1933 a long-standing ensemble member of the Burgtheater. In films from 1935, almost invariably cast as royalty or aristocrats: crown princes, regents, counts and barons. Taught at the Max Reinhardt Seminar for thirty years.
  • He was the father of actor Florian Liewehr.
  • The actor Fred Liewehr was engaged by Max Reinhardt to the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna in 1931, two years later followed an engagement at the Burgtheater.
  • His activity in movies became more intensive after the war.
  • During his long theater career he impersonated more than 260 parts in about 8000 shows.
