The streamer has announced a two-season renewal for its hit live-action “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” based on the hit Nickelodeon anime of the same name. The series will officially end with the third season, mirroring the animated series’ arc.

Per Variety, the live-action adaptation of the hit Nickelodeon Avatar: The Last Airbender series will end with Season 3, sharing a similar season format with the animated iteration. Albert Kim developed the live-action adaptation for Netflix, based on the original animated series created by Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko. Avatar: The Last Airbender stars Aang Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka Dallas, and Liu as Prince Zuko. The cast also includes Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh, Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, Maria Zhang as Suki, Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula, Amber Midthunder as Princess Yue, Lim Kay Siu as Gyatso, Danny Pudi as The Mechanist, Yvonne Chapman as Avatar Kyoshi, and Tamlyn Tomita as Yukari.

The stars of the upcoming live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series are stepping out for the premiere of their new Netflix show!

Leading young stars Kiawentiio, Gordon Cormier, Ian Ousley and Dallas Liu showed off their fashion on the gold carpet at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood on Thursday evening (February 15) in Los Angeles.

Having originally released in 2005, Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the story of Avatar Aang and his companions, as they desperately work to take down the genocidal Firelord Ozai.
