Martin Lima de Faria was educated at the Directors line at The National
Danish Film School and has since then directed several prizewinning
TV-films and short films as "Heartbeat" starring Alexander Skarsgård
(Cannes Film Festival Kodak Award 2005 and in Competition at Los
Angeles Int Film Festival 2005), "In the head of a mother" (Cambridge
Film Festival Audience Award) and "Betraktaren" (Nominated for the
Swedish prestigious award "Guldbagge") and the acclaimed feature "Mamy
Blue" (Official Selection at London Int Film Festival). He usually
directs in a duo with scriptwriter/director Anette Skåhlberg and their
latest film "Daddy, Picasso and I" was chosen for the Cannes Short Film
Corner 2010.
He has also been First Assistant Director on features, starting with Ingmar Bergmans "Private Confessions" directed by Liv Ullmann in 1995 and through the years on TV, features, commercials. Last fall he was working on David Finchers "Millennium" with extras and this winter as F.A.D. and Assistant Production Manager on SVT grand new "30 degrees in February".
