Suzanna Love was a beautiful and beguiling brunette who acted in a handful of offbeat, interesting and imaginative independent pictures for her onetime writer/director husband Ulli Lommel from the late 70s up until the early 90s. Suzanna was a Dupont heiress who grew up in Manhattan and attended Vassar College. She was in pageants in London as a kid and acted in stage plays while in high school. Love went to acting school and was briefly a member of the McCarter Theatre prior to making her film debut with a small part in Milos Forman's "Hair." Suzanna married Lommel in 1979. She gave a fine and impressive performance as the troubled Lacey in the spooky supernatural horror slasher hit "The Boogeyman." Love later reprised this part in the slapdash sequel "Boogeyman II." Suzanna was likewise excellent as the imperiled Kaylie Bedford in "BrainWaves," the titular mysterious woman in "Olivia," and feisty liberated school teacher Jenny Scanlon in "The Devonsville Terror," all of which were directed by Lommel. Love co-starred with Klaus Kinski in "Revenge of the Stolen Stars." Her final movie role to date was as a destitute lady in "A Smile in the Dark." She divorced Lommel in 1987. Suzanna not only co-produced the action item "Warbirds," but also co-wrote the scripts for "The Boogeyman," "Boogeyman II," "BrainWaves," "The Devonsville Terror," and "Strangers in Paradise." Suzanna Love now lives in Maine with her daughter.
