What happens when writer/director, Van Elder, mixes a criminal, a dodgy local politician, bent cops, and gang dealings all together in the heat of LA? You get Kings of L.A.

Released on bail from County Jail after a day and a half inside, Snooks (Stevie J.) has two choices: pursue a more successful lifestyle and better himself, as pushed by his mum, or return to the habits that landed him inside in the first place, as encouraged by his local pal, Bosco (Darris Love). Egged on by his baby mamma, too, Snooks has it coming from all angles, and has multiple avenues to choose from.

On the other side, Mayor Taylor (Alimi Ballard) is feeling the heat as he approaches re-election.

Tupac Shakur's appearance in Straight Outta Compton is brief but impactful, with two actors portraying him: Marcc Rose and Darris Love. Marcc Rose, who plays Tupac on screen, closely resembles the rapper with his eyes, eyebrows, and posture, while Darris Love provides his vocals. Marcc Rose portrayed Tupac in another project, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G., but his performance was limited in showing the rapper's personality.

Former child star Darris Love was arrested on Christmas Eve on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

LAPD arrived at the actor’s Los Angeles home Saturday after receiving a call about a domestic disturbance. Love’s girlfriend said the actor hit her in the head during an argument.

Police say there were “no visible marks” and that she was not injured.

Police arrested Love at noon and he was released on bond later that night. His bail was set at 20,000.

Love has yet to comment on the incident, but shortly after his release posted a 12-minute video on social media wishing his followers “happy holy days.”

“Let’s love one another,” he said to his fans.

Darris Love, former co-star of Nickelodeon’s The Secret World Of Alex Mack, was arrested in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve for investigation of domestic violence, according to TMZ.

LAPD officers were called to the actor’s home Saturday on a report of a domestic disturbance, the publication reports.

Love’s girlfriend told officers she and Love had gotten into an argument and claimed Love hit her in the back of the head. She was not injured and there were no visible marks, according to reports.

Love was arrested and booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and released after posting 20,000 bond, TMZ reports.

Deadline has reached out to Love’s rep for comment.

"It's funny because for a period of time it was very uncool to be Alex Mack, and so I'm glad that it's like cool and retro," Oleynik said with a laugh. "It's come back around ... I still get people asking me to turn into a puddle. It's kind of funny and cute ... I think [the powers] were, for me, more of a metaphor for all the weird changes you go through in that time in your life."
