- Mike Love was born on March 15, 1941 in Baldwin Hills, California, USA. He is an actor and composer, known for Cocktail (1988), Love & Mercy (2014) and Vanilla Sky (2001). He has been married to Jacquelyne Piesen since April 24, 1994. They have two children. He was previously married to Catherine Linda Martinez, Tamara Suzanne Fitch, Suzanne Celeste Belcher, Francine St. Martin and Linda Sue Oliver.

- A liaison in 1966 resulted in his illegitimate daughter, Shawn Marie Love, whom he never publicly acknowledged. In 1983 Shawn married his cousin Dennis Wilson, by whom she had a son, Gage. Shawn died of cancer in 2004.
- Inducted by Elton John into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of The Beach Boys) 20 January 1988.
- Is the only member left from the original The Beach Boys lineup that is in the current group lineup.
- His brother Stan played for the NBA's Baltimore Bullets in the early 1970s. Stan later worked as sometime-manager for The Beach Boys and companion to cousin Brian Wilson.
