Ten years ago, one of HBO’s many hit shows that became a pop culture phenomenon had ended its run. True Blood was created by American Beauty writer Alan Ball and was based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries novels written by Charlaine Harris. The show dealt with vampires becoming ingrained in society with a new evolving fight for equal rights. The series starred Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Chris Bauer, Nelsan Ellis, Jim Parrack, Carrie Preston, Alexander Skarsgård, Todd Lowe, Deborah Ann Woll, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Lauren Bowles, and Joe Manganiello.
Deadline reports on the exciting development of Alexander Skarsgård reprising his role (unofficially) for an appearance in this final season of the FX comedy series What We Do in the Shadows. Skarsgård was not explicitly identified as Eric Northman, but his signature look was retained, although he took some liberties to change things...

Gilmore Girls fans have spent years arguing over the merits of Rory Gilmore’s boyfriends. They’ve debated whether Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore were really the endgame couple and discussed Emily and Richard Gilmore’s parenting style. While there is plenty to disagree about regarding Gilmore Girls, most fans believe Lane Kim should never have married Zack Van Gerbig. Keiko Agena, the actor who spent seven years playing Lane, doesn’t seem convinced her character is happy with Zack either. In fact, Agena thinks Lane would still be a bit heartbroken over Dave Ryglaski, her high school beau.
Who did Lane Kim date during the seven-season run of ‘Gilmore Girls’?
Lane Kim might have spent most of her time hanging out with Rory Gilmore and avoiding Mrs. Kim’s flaxseed muffins, but she also found a bit of time to date, albeit behind her mother’s back. First, she...

Gilmore Girls made many friends behind the scenes in Stars Hollow. It’s clear Scott Patterson still hangs out with Sean Gunn, since Gunn is a regular guest on his podcast. Patterson seems to have remained close with Lauren Graham, too. Guest star John Cabrera made lifelong friends on Gilmore Girls too. One of his three closest co-stars is Hep Alien bandmate Sebastian Bach!

Lane Kim married Zack Van Gerbig during season 6 of Gilmore Girls. They quickly had twins and settled into married life. Their relationship’s progression abruptly ended Lane Kim’s bid to become a rockstar. For years, Gilmore Girls fans have largely disliked Zack, partly because of how Lane’s storyline unfolded and partially because Zack didn’t measure up to Lane’s first love, Dave Rygalski. While Zack and Dave were inherently different people, we think Zack was just as good to Lane as Dave, just in a completely different way.
Lane Kim fell for Dave Rygalski
Mrs. Kim didn’t allow Lane to date men she hadn’t approved. There was one major problem with that. Mrs. Kim and Lane had very different ideas about what type of men she should be dating. When Dave Rygalski showed interest in Lane, she was immediately smitten. To make Dave more marketable to Mrs.

The Gilmore Girls are heading back to The CW after 20 years.
The network will air the four-part mini-series, which was ordered by Netflix and aired in 2016, as an event series starting Monday November 23 and running through the week. It will air the series on its linear network and will also stream for free on its ad-supported app and online for 30 days.
The announcement comes on the 20th anniversary of the show’s launch on The WB.
Deadline understands that the deal terms of the acquisition were worked out between Warner Bros, which produced the show in association with Dolly Parker Drank Here Productions, and Netflix, allowing The CW to have a window.
It’s unusual for a Netflix original to be acquired by a linear network but The CW Chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz was known to have wanted the Gilmore Girls sequel and has admitted that it was tough...

Even the most ignorant Americans are now aware of the murders of unarmed black men by police officers, but fewer people know that Canadian police officers have their own way of “accidentally” murdering indigenous men and women: By driving them miles away from the nearest town and leaving them outside to freeze to death. At least three Canadian Aboriginal men are thought to have been murdered this way in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in the early 2000’s. The murders are incredibly difficult to prove, and a 2003 investigation was not able to result in a conviction. The investigations did bring wider attention to the practice, which became known as taking someone on a “Starlight Tour.”

In The Remains, writer/director Thomas Della Bella whips up his best Amityville Horror impression without coming within miles of the long-standing genre classic. So many scenes skirt around an obvious possession situation that clueless characters miscalculate, as we’re supposed to believe a grieving family had no idea they were moving into a cursed death house.
Scares are bare-minimum mundane – evoking the essence of Wan without any flare – and performances call for help that’s never provided via style or substance. What little creativity Della Bella works into his story is floundered through executional boredom, while viewers are kept waiting for something more than haunted house clichés to scare up excitement.
Frankly, you’ve seen this all before, done a hell of a lot better, and not much worse.
Todd Lowe stars as a father (John) whose family is looking for a fresh start, which they hope to find in their new Victorian home.

The "Gilmore Girls" star stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" on Wednesday night, where host Andy Cohen quizzed her on Alexis Bledel's TV boyfriends. Milo Ventimiglia," Graham admitted. Of course, in real life, she's still with partner and former "Parenthood" costar Peter Krause. Carrie Preston's signature flame-red hair is about the only thing her True Blood and The Good Wife characters have in common. The versatile actor's talent for shapeshifting roles not only won her an Emmy last year for her portrayal of quirky attorney Elsbeth Tascioni on The Good Wife, but has also helped her believably transform her True Blood character, Arlene, in subtle - and major - ways over the course of that show's seven seasons. With True Blood's final episode just a few short weeks away, Carrie stopped by our La studios to talk about what fans should have in mind as they experience the last installment of the HBO series and to spill some behind-the-scenes details about some of the season's most intense moments so far. We also chatted about her return to The Good Wife, which premieres Sept. 21 on CBS, and her predictions on how the...

We're half-way through the final season of HBO's "True Blood," so this is as good a time as any for a celebratory Comic-Con send-off. Saturday's (July 26) Ballroom 20 panel is being moderated by the same guy who has moderated nearly all of the previous "True Blood" panels, so... I guess we know what to expect! Anyway, it's one vampire to another, as I just wrapped my live-blog for "The Vampire Diaries." Woo. 5:04 p.m. We begin with a clip reel of "True Blood" stars saying "Good-bye." And now they're going to do it in person. 5:06 p.m. Our panel: Nathan Parsons, The Lovely Deborah Ann Woll, Nelsan Ellis, Carrie Preston, Chris "Comic-Con Virgin" Bauer, Anna Camp, Brian Buckner, Kristin Bauer Van Straten, Rutina Wesley, Sam Trammell, Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin. The loudest reaction, by a wide margin, was for Kristin Bauer van Straten, if you're curious. 5:07 p.

Last week, "True Blood" went on a killing spree, dispatching major characters and lesser recurring characters and bit players and new characters—including a few that had potential, such as Sarah Newlin’s guru boyfriend—with an indiscriminating, bland casualness. The only loss that was supposed to mean anything was the unexpected, last-minute killing of Alcide, but his shooting—at the hands of a couple of random gun nuts, just after he’d appeared from out of nowhere to help rescue Sookie from the infected vamps—was such a hectic mess, and carried so little dramatic weight, that the only real emotion came from the slow, mournful version of Steely Dan’s “Fire in the Hole” that played under the closing credits. Surprisingly, tonight’s episode begins with an effort at closure, as if real lives had been cut short, or at least as if real characters the audience cares...

It always feels strange when we know that a TV show is coming to an end. Much like with Dexter and its final season we know season seven of True Blood is the conclusion of the tale of Sookie Stackhouse and Bill the Vampire, but will we miss them? In preparation for the start of the new season, True Blood: The Complete Sixth Season is being released on DVD and Blu-ray and I guess the question to be answered in this review has to be if season six leads us into the final season on a high, or did it show signs of a show nearing a natural death? Or a true death as the vamps would call it.
True Blood: The Complete Sixth Season begins where the last ended, with Bill seemingly a Vampire God, Alcide a new pack master and Warlow seemingly ready to claim Sookie as his.
