Rupert Murdoch, Lachlan Murdoch And Others Can Be Compelled To Testify Live In Dominion’s Defamation Trial Against Fox News, Judge Says
Image
Rupert Murdoch, Lachlan Murdoch, Fox Corporation board member Paul Ryan and Fox Corp. executive Viet Dinh can be compelled to testify in Dominion’s upcoming defamation trial against Fox News, a judge said on Wednesday.

Delaware Judge Eric M. Davis said that Dominion would have to issue a trial subpoena to force such live testimony, but he would not quash it over issues of inconvenience or because they previously have sat for depositions. Davis cited court precedent that officers, directors and managing agents of a Delaware corporation can be compelled to appear.

“Both Fox and Dominion have made these four parties very relevant,” Davis said.

He added, “If Dominion wants to bring them live, they need to do a trial subpoena and I would not quash it and I would compel them to come.”

He also cited issues with Rupert Murdoch’s deposition and whether questions asked of him were clear or unfairly prejudicial.

Fox News Reconfigures Senior Leadership With New Slate of Executive VPs
Suzanne Scott
Fox News has named several new executive vice presidents as the network shifts its senior leadership lineup two months after the passing of SVP Alan Komissaroff.

“As we mark nearly two months since senior vice president of News & Politics Alan Komissaroff tragically passed away, we wanted to share news about editorial leadership changes and the components of his position that will be absorbed by his colleagues,” Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and president Jay Wallace told staffers in a memo Wednesday obtained by TheWrap. “We miss Alan every day and are still heartbroken by his loss.”

Network veteran Tom Lowell has been elevated to senior executive vice president and managing editor for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, in which he will oversee all editorial departments as he reports to Wallace.

Fox News Sets Senior Editorial Leadership Team as Top Execs Acknowledge Media Attention (Exclusive)

Fox News is making some changes to its senior editorial ranks.

The changes, which were announced to staff from Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and president Jay Wallace in a memo Wednesday afternoon, come just a few months after Fox senior VP Alan Komissaroff unexpectedly passed away. Komissaroff died in January of a heart attack.

“As we mark nearly two months since Senior Vice President of News & Politics Alan Komissaroff tragically passed away, we wanted to share news about editorial leadership changes and the components of his position that will be absorbed by his colleagues,” Scott and Wallace wrote in their memo. “We miss Alan every day and are still heartbroken by his loss.”

Among the moves: Tom Lowell, a 20-year veteran of the channel, has been elevated to senior executive VP & managing editor for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, a role that will have him overseeing all editorial content at both channels.

Mariska Hargitay in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)
Chicago Pd Season 9 Episode 13 Review: Still Water
Mariska Hargitay in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)
The hour was nothing short of intense.

It was one of the most hyped installments of the season thus far, which sets a high bar. As a standalone hour, Chicago Pd Season 9 Episode 13 catapulted us into a harrowing case with a serial rapist that felt like something inspired by cousin series Law & Order: Svu.

And I mean that in the best possible way.

Contrary to popular belief, just because someone is critical of something doesn't mean they hate it, and it sure as hell doesn't render them incapable of giving credit when it's due. But, hey, what do I know?

One of the most exciting parts of this season is how often they've given us these cool action sequences out in the field.

D-do you know if they got her out? D-did they get the woman out? I tried to g-get to her, but I couldn't g-get to her.

The Carpetbaggers
Image
It’s lurid, it’s soapy, it’s forbidden: where does the line form? Joseph E. Levine made hay from Harold Robbins’ best seller, with prose that The New York Times said belonged more properly “on the walls of a public lavatory.” So why is the picture so much fun? When the performances are good they’re very good, and when they’re bad they’re almost better. Plus there’s a who’s who game to be played: If George Peppard is Howard Hughes and Carroll Baker is Jean Harlow, who exactly is Robert Cummings? I think this is the first time on Blu for this title, and playback-wise it’s A-ok for Region A.
